Dire need of a driver for a Sony crx300e 48/24/48/16 cd-rw/dvd-rom

try this one try to copy everything you want to burn through cd/dvd intothe computer then you can now burn it....

make sure that the cdrw dvd rom is getting enough consistent power test all leads that are attached to the cd rom including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might be bad/faulty or
your drivers may have been corrupted or you might have a virus run your antivrus program
you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cdrw dvd rom then plug them back in this will activate found new hardware wizard

you might have to uninstall then restart your computer then reinstall your cd rom or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device

click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives right click you can you will have options to update driver roll back driver select properties general troubleshoot select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver uninstall then reinstall
you need only do the registry check if you cant see the drive/s in windows explorer/my computer
it might be a registry problem
Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SYSTEM

CurrentControlSet

Control

Class

{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Upper Filters

Lower Filters

Upper Filters.bak

Lower Filters.bak

If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

After deleting the keys, close the registry editor
Reboot your computer
Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

It seems that you're running a 32 bit version of the software on a 64 bit operating system. Or the driver is not longer supported by modern Operating systems. To fix this issue try finding and installing the right driver.

becoz you have a CD writer not a dvdRW it will burn only CD's not DVD's

both lence are diffrent

CD-Rom and DVD drives in itself do not need drivers in Windows, but the IDE/SATA controllers they are connected to do, so maybe that is what you are looking for?
You can use a driver update program or check the website of your motherboard manufacturer.

Hi there. You may need to re-install your drives.

Open Device Manager, click the + sign next to DVD/CD-ROM drives. Right-click on the drive and choose Uninstall Driver. Shut down your system, and restart. When Windows starts it will detect the new hardware and install the software for it.

Also, try uninstalling your burning software, restart, and re-install. It may be that the software has got corrupt.

Hi,
do you have software/program that supports DVD.
Try a different DVD/Movie/Disk or alternative.
Also install a program, such as Nero which will give you physical characteristics of the drive.
Finally go to device manager, and remove or uninstall the device, reboot the computer and setup again. This can sometimes remedy the problem.
ensure that the drive is set as Master/Slave. if on the same Bus/IDE channel as a hard-drive. set as master/slave opposite to what the hard-drive is setup as.

I think your DVD burner is faulty and requires replacing, as they are very innexpensive to replace as you wili probably know,so don't waste too much time trying to solve it. It isnt the decoder as thats a peice software that comes in certain burning programmes, the laser is able to read cds as the tracks are wider apart than dvd's and are easier to read. The drives dont last as long as they used to because, keeping the price of burners down, like anything else means cutting corners and costs and in burners cases as was the case with PS2's the lasers are cheap and soon fail.
