I don't believe the GXL2200 has a power switch directly on the microphone itself. Would you be able to tell me how you are supplying phantom power to the microphone?
Christopher is correct. The microphone doesn't have a power switch. It does not have it's own power source (such as batteries). Whatever equipment you connect the mic to must supply 48 volts 'phantom power' to the microphone for it to work correctly. Things like tape recorders or PA amplifiers seldom supply this power for the mic. If you are using it with almost anything other than USB pre-amp that is built to supply the 48 volts then you need to get a "Phantom Power Supply" box. You can find lots of different types by going to Amazon.com and searching for "Phantom Power Supply."
