192 168 1.1 requires a user name and password. What could they be?

the user name you were assigned and the pass word you entered under that user name

User login is activated. You will require a user name and password created on the laptop to login. Get the user name and password on the laptop to login.

There is no need to set user name & Password for outgoing SMTP serve, if you have cliked on "use same setting as incoming server " under SMTP server required authentication.

" 401 unauthorized" authorization required " .This message means the user name and password for the router is not correct. the default password of the Linksys router is admin with no user name ( leave it blank )
If the default password is not working then the router password must be changed.
If you don't know the password of the router then you will need to reset and reconfigure the router.
Once you reset the router , it will come back to the factory default settings.

try to login with username as Administrator if you are using some another username.
there is one software also to reset the usename and password naming ERD Commander

The default passwords for the WGR614 are:
User Name: admin
Password: password

in order to connect to internet you require a username and password 

that user name and password will be given to you durin first time installation if you dont remember the username and password call up your broad band help desk. they will help with the user name and password.

if you are aware of the user name and password ,
you need the configure the internet setup using the user name and password

i ll give the steps to configure the user name and password in windows XP operating system

1 click on "start" button at bottom left of your desktop

2 click on control panel

3 on left hand side of the window click "classical view"

4 then click on the icon network connections

5 there you will find "create new connection"  or "new connection wizard"on the left hand side just   double click on it

6 a new dialog ll appear click next

7 on the next screen select "connect to internet" and click on next

8 on the next screen click on "setup my connection manually" then click on next

9 on the next screen select the option "connect using a user name and password" and click next

10 you will be asked for ISP name "for eg:fill in AT&T"

11 on the next screen you willlbe asked for user name and password , fill in the respective details

for eg: sam @att.net :username
            ******** :password

12 den click finish 

you will find an icon in the desk top by now. just double click on that icon and try browsinn
