I have 2 computers both with mx700 mouse and they have worked great for a few years. All of a sudden, both have stopped charging. The green light blinks to say it is charging when in the cradle but within minutes of taking it off the charger I get a low battery warning and it flashes red. Have tried new rechargeables with no luck and the batteries will charge fine using an external charger

I assume you are using usb socket to charge mouse. The voltage on a USB is 5volts , you may have a problem here. It may not be producing the correct voltage. Or you may have a problem with your cradle. I would suggest you see a repair person and get them to look at the USB voltage and the Mouse cradle..
Hope this helps.

Hello, have you tried changing the batteries in your mouse? They are probably dead or dying and that is why it is not working. Also, try restarting the computer. If you cannot even use a regular wired usb mouse, there may be something going on. Try changing the batteries, restarting the computer, and using a regular usb and a regular PS/2 mouse.

I have a wireless mouse logitech mx700 that i have had for about 3-4 years. now when i set it on the charging module dock, the green light does not come on, indicating it is charging. do the rechargable...

First try unplugging the charging base and using a Qtip and a light amount of rubbing alcohol(because it evaporates) to clean both charging surfaces:
The 2 gold colored medal plates on the bottom of the mouse and the 2 prongs that touch them on the base. Wait about 15 minutes to make sure all rubbing alcohol has evaporated. Plug the charging base back in and see if its working. If it didn't seem to help, you can easily change the re-chargable batteries in the mouse as they are just 2 re-chargable AA batteries. Make sure they are replaced only with "re-chargable" batteries only. Replacing them with non-rechargable AA batteries can cause them to explode if placed upon the charging base.

Receiver not recognized by computer

The green LED on this reciever is also a button. Press the LED on the reciever with a small blunt object (pencil will work) and then press the "connect" button on the bottom of the mouse. The green LED should come on, and restore the connection between the reciever and the mouse.

Mouse stoped charging lights on charger stay green but mouse light stays red and wont work most of the time i put regular in and it works but wont charge help please

this is a problem with my mx700. you need to constantly clean the two brass coloured connectors at the bottom of the mouse. an eraser works well. even with this you sometimes need to jiggle the mouse a little in the holder to get it to charge. this is not logitech usual standard and very annoying.
hope this helps.

Erratic Logitech cordless optical mouse

Hi,
ive had the mx700 for two years and im very comfortable with it.
I think you problem lies not with the mouse or the driver, but rather the mousepad.
Since the mx700 is not a lasermouse, but "only" optical, it still needs a decent pad to work flawlessly.
Ive had problems with these kind of mice using blank paper, magazines or tablesurfaces.
Try to get a real mousepad from somewhere (should be really cheap), that should do the trick =)

I upgradet to a razer diamondback later which is a laser mouse (1600dpi, while optical mice (with the red light) have 800dpi). Some ppl say that this is too much, and not needed (you can get even higher specs =) but i felt a world of difference, it just works everywhere! (except for mirrors and glas =)

Logitech MX700 optical mouse

-Refurbs usually come barebone, on any refurb product, definately read the terms and agreements of the warranty... No way in $*%# would I take a refurb without SOME sort of defective warranty.

-Try another computer -If it don't work on yours, try it on another one. Ensure its not lose, so wiggle it a little, and if it lights up to charge for a second, there's something interfering with the connection from the mouse to the dock. If all else fails, call the seller, cus it is, a refurb.

-Manuals are downloadable from the manufacturers website. Its a common trend that the manuals are links somewhere around the driver webpage, but a big company like logitech, shouldnt be hard to navigate.
