Yes, by turning it off this resets the unit. Just turn it back on and if there are no other problems, it will run.

still no luck it did start out with code 33 then went to 13. the manual says to wiat 3 hours Wow! the filter was very dirty it was quite some time since it was chaged. I dont have any in there now but will purchase one tomorrow. any other ideas it is pertty new. Carrier Comfort 92 2007 model. I AM SUPPOSE to leave it off right? If I have it run it just blows out cold air from the regrister. Thank You
Yes, if the manual says off for 3 hours then do so. Get a filter in it tomorrow. Try to kill the power for the 3 hours and try to start it up again. You should have a chart that tells you what the codes stand for, like a open pressure switch, or inducer motor not working, each code has a reason that will tell you what the problem is. Find out what the code 13 is and go from there. If you cant find the chart on the unit, it should tell you in the manual. I will check back with you tomorrow. Shastalaker7
Just checking in with you to see how its going? Please keep me posted on this.

This is a 12,000 BTU unit 1-ton, very small window type heat-pump I see now. If the units filter was very dirty, did the dirt filter past the filter to the evaporator coil? It sounds to me like the compressor is off if it is blowing cold air. It may have iced up the outdoor coil if you were in the heat made. You need to find out what the code 33 and 13 mean, and let me know.
