The clue is the remote control low battery (or replaced) == it's lost it's 'code' and needs to be 'reprogrammed'. Until then, the imobaliser (in the ECU computer) will lock the ignition. As soon as you tried to start the car the alarm was triggered (with the ECU locked the engine turns over but won't start).
Take it away from the cowboys and to a garage that knows want they are doing = and don't listen to the idiots who failed to actually read your question and would have you start taking the car apart or replace the starter motor
try this open driver side window lift bonnet lock all doors wait 3 min disconnect battery wait 15 seconds reconnect battery wait 10 seconds dont open doors switch on side lights through driver side window switch on ignition check system hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds remove key open and close doors check locking system now start the engine if no find the locking code for your car it should be with your car book its like credit card with some numbers on with those numbers you can unlock your imoballiser you have to turn the key to unlock so many times then towards locking side so many times and the numbers you have to find are with your car book if not you can get it on net it will cost you 10 to 15 pounds good luck
Interesting, seems alarm has been set-off before<now circuit is ON> and not been re-set back to neutral<re-set circuit to OFF> so when doors are closed, alarm memory retains previous set alarm memory <circuit set to ON>. It'ill go off again whenever door being opened, regardless it have been armed or left open as the memory circuit recognise it still as before alarm set-off<circuit is set ON>.
Solution, 1) Read your car owner's manual in the alarm section, read on how to re-set alarm to neutral if it has been set-off while armed [my experience is by turning the ignition key as if you are going to start the car engine but do not start engine then back to off position, do it 3 times as it will beep after 3rd run]. 2) On 4th run, start the engine, lock all doors then unlock it, 3) Turn off engine, get out from car, lock doors and arm alarm. 4) Dis-arm alarm, open doors and see if it still set-off alarm as before.
If all that doesnot work, go to your local dealer as alarm system has a system fault that can't be fixed without proper equipments.

Check your door switch, open the door and see if the dome light comes on in the car.If it does then your problem is with the alarm wiring going to the door switch if it doesn't come on then check your fuses.
