Kenmore dish washer Mod:3631656990 S/N RM306233R. When i turn it on the washer fills with water but does not continue to the next cycle. At that point I have to open the door and manually empty out the water with a bucket. ??

1. Turn the washer off.
2. Set the mode selector dial to NORMAL.
3. Turn the dial counter clockwise ONE click (LEFT), clockwise THREE clicks (RIGHT), counter clockwise ONE click (LEFT) then clockwise ONE click (RIGHT).
4. Now press the start button.
5. All the cycle indicating lights should be illuminated.
6. Press the Start Stop button once.
7. Rotate the dial until Rinse, Wash, and Stop light illuminate.
8. Turn the washer off and unplug it for 10 seconds.
9. Finally, turn on the washer and it should now be reset.
10. Run a test load empty to be sure the reset worked. If not perform the reset procedure one more time.

Hi, a UL error code means a load not balanced. The washer is running a load-balance correction routine. Please allow the washer to continue. If the dial is flashing and the washer has stopped, redistribute the load, close the lid, and press START/PAUSE.

Open hot water handle farthest from the water heater. Turn water on that fills the water heater. It will take several minutes to fill the tank. Let it continue to run until all air is out of line. Turn all other hot faucets on to purge air from lines.

sounds like the sock gremlins have put one in your washer's pump

Are the water valves open? Check the fill valves on the unit for continuity, the solenoids my be bad. Also check for voltage at the solonoids.

I am in Ecuador and I have the same problem. 3 technicians have checked my unit and all of them have changed the water level switch without solving the problem. I am desperate. Please help :(

Sounds like door seal. The rubber seal ends at the bottom of both sides. examine the ends to see if they look the same. some have a plastic insert. it may fallen out. cheap part to order.

1. Remove the drain hose from the drain and try to drain the water from the washer. To do this plug the washer back in and attempt another drain cycle. If water does not come out of the drain hose then you now know that the plumbing is in good working order. 2. Place the drain hose back into the drain and remove the washers cabinet.
3. You will now be able to see the pump and it should have two hoses attached to it.
4. Disconnect the hose coming from the basket. If water comes out you will know that nothing is clogging the basket.
5. If both of these tests come out good you now know that the problem is the pump.
6. Make sure you write down all relevant information such as the washing machine model and serial number.
7. Head to your local hardware store and buy a pump (they typically run about $15.00).
8. Remove the old pump and install the new one (make sure the washing machine is turned off and unplugged).
9. Test it. Let it run through a cycle to make sure everything is installed and working properly.
10. If it is still broken call a repairman or ask a handy friend to check it out for you.

that's a faucet problem, nothing to do with the tank
either replace the faucet washer (The one that's noisy)
or get a diffeent style faucet

Do you share your hot water with anyone? Is anyone washing dishes, laundry, etc before you shower? How old is your hot water heater? If it has filled with sediment, your hot water is limited. Try turning up the heat control valve on the hot water heater, only go up one notch today, then if not enough another the next day. Be cautious of scaulding hot water after turning it up.
