Trying to play gourmet ranch on facebook .... it is half loaded, where friends are suppose to be or the tools to move around page are missing i just have one big blue empty bar

This is usually due to the cached copy becoming corrupt. There are 2 things you can try here: 1. Try a hard refresh when on the page that loads the game (Usually Ctrl + F5 but can differ) 2. Clear all temporary internet files cache and what have you (This can be found under tools ==> options)
I have experienced the same thing when I tried to play Gourmet ranch for the first time. What I did is to go to Home screen and search the game in search box click on the game application and try if it loads this time. If it still persist try to log out of facebook wait for a few minutes and try to log in again and check if the game works this time.

Grandma M, I suggest that you open a new account with anotgher email ID and add friends all over again.It can't be too difficult to get together all the friends of a 10 year old! Make sure the password is complex with numbers and letters with some capital letters. It's accounts with simple passwords that get hacked easy. Please tell your grandkid that she should ignore any emails supposedly from facebook asking her to login. This could be a phishing page trying to get her login and PW. She should login ONLY from the main page that is book marked.
