I have a MTD Yard Machine Tiller and need an owner's manual for the tiller itself not the engine. Is this possible? My model # is 135202. Thank you for any help you can give.

remove starter
get new rope
wind spring DONT LET GO UNTIL DONE
feed in new rope , tie knot in rope, replace handle ,tie knot in that end. NOW YOU CAN LET ROPE RETURN IN SLOWLY

Had the same problem with my MTD Yard Machines 5 horse tiller. I called MTD at 800-800-7310 and with the model and serial and such off the engine - which are stamped into it - a nice lady was able to narrow down my tiller year. From there with horsepower details she narrowed further to one of two models that I could look up on the MTD corporate home page and get a schematic.

check air filter and or carb might need cleaning or adjustment

try looking for tiller model 410 or 420

the 135202 number is the b&s motor number

The float and pin can be bought as a repair kit., and replaced.

Mtd list a manual #770-10136d but it may be just a owner's manual.

If you go to Sears.com, then go to parts,then type in the model number, then look to the right and scroll down slow you will see a spot that says get manuals for this model and click on view manuals then any manuals they have you can print them out.

I don't have a manual and I need to know what size belt to purchase. Any help would be nice.
