I have that problem also. U should open it up (only if your warranty expired) It's Similar to E74

Hey regza,

The "E73" message may indicate that a general hardware error has occurred involving the Xbox 360's ethernet port. Unfortunately, Microsoft does not appear to have released a FAQ regarding every potential Xbox error code so far, so there really isn't a way to determine if this is a simple wiring issue or actual hardware failure without contacting Microsoft directly. As such, I would strongly recommend giving Microsoft a call at 800-4MY-XBOX (800-469-9269) for further assistance.

Xbox 360 E73 error. What do I do?
Turn on unit until the red light flashes and the error code(E 73) shows up on the screen. Next insert toothpicks in the back of the console(while unit is running) into the cooling fans, this is to suppose to overheat the console and start two red lights flashing. Turn off console when this happens(unplug all cords from console) and turn the system back on.

I have an e73 system error problem
E73: I/O Hardware Error - Couldn't calibrate HSIO Bus from edram: this error is likely caused by a problem with the Ethernet port or supporting control devices.

E73 is the scaler chip and that deals with the display on your Xbox 360 you will need to get it fixed and you can send it in to do this or repair it yourself using a good guide.

5mins after turning back on e 73 is there
E73 error dont have anything to do with your harddrive. This is what E73 is E73: General Hardware Error: Ethernet port... this error is caused by a problem with the Ethernet port.
But I would almost guarantee it is the solder under the GPU which is the common problem for all overheated xbox360 systems. Wecan fix it for you if your interested please contact us for free estimate. [email protected]

The Internet Port or Referred as the CPU or GPU is fried and needs to be turned in the Microsoft for repair. No other way that i Know will fix it.
