I have a TC1602-A Lyra Mp3. I just downloaded some songs from itunes for the first time, but when I try to play the songs on the mp3, it gives me this message: "Please upgrade your firmware at rcaaudiovideo.com" I went there but my type of mp3 wasn't on it. And my current version is v.2.5.0, and I don't know what comes next. Help please :)

How did you transfer them? Maybe try itunes agent to simply sync the lyra directly from itunes:

you are right you need to change the format back to MP3. Do you have the orginal songs in MP3 and then converted then to MP4? If not try http://www.mp4-mp3.net/ you will need to take all the songs from your ipod and put them in a local folder on your pc, then convert them and then move them to your mp3 player. hope this works for you.

Songs purchased through iTunes are protected with DRM and cannot be placed on any MP3 players that aren't iPods.

Thomson sold off its CE business so many times, I don't know who owns them anymore. Their players are not compatible with iTunes songs, so if your card is for either an iTunes or a DRM-encrypted WMA, you are probably out of luck. If your card is for a song in mp3 format, then load the song onto your computer first, and then use Windows Media Player to Sync the song to your mp3 player.

i would prob try redownloading the music. but i have a question idk if its the same way but i downloaded some nirvana a while ago and now it doesnt play also i really need 2 know how to delete songs off my rca lyra rd2765a so plz if u know any thing email me at [email protected]

First, install the software if any that came with your mp3 player and connect your mp3 player. If you want to add music to your mp3 player you can sync with your media player or copy and paste songs from my music folder to your mp3 player that's under my computer. To delete songs or files just go to my computer, click on your device and you will see your files, just click on any ones and press delete on your keyboard. To download music for your mp3 player, you will have to pay for songs at most places like itunes. There is one site that is called LimeWire, just go to www.limewire.com, download and install the software. Let me WARN YOU, that limewire is ILLEGAL and there is stiff penalties if you get caught.

Well, if You have a Windows Computer with Windows Media Player 10....then all You have to do is synchronize it with your Media Player....If you don't have atleast Windows Media Player 10....then jus simply upgrade your Media Player.....If You have an Apple Computer....Wait for the MP3 to pop up on your desktop...and simply drag your files from itunes to your MP3 player file....

Did you notice if you got any error msgs when you are done transfering? I get the error msgs and it still shows the songs on the download list but those are the ones that are not on the MP3 player. I am trying to figure out why I get error msgs from cd's that I have purchased but not from downloaded music form the internet...want to trade info?

Upgrade the player's firmware following the RCA's website instructions (goto support, RD1021, Software upgrades)
