Creative zen says Playback error

I was trying to play a song and realized it was the wrong one so I tried to stop it. That is when a black box appeared saying playback error. It's been over 2 months now and it still says the same thing. I hit he reset button, but nothing works.

I had the same problem: "Playback error", and nothing i did, helped. But when i pushed the reset buttom, below the on/of button, it turned of, and when i switched it on again, it worked. Maybe you could try again?

Someone told me you can fix it by doing a scan disk/defragg at intervals. I'm still trying to figure out how to do this.

Downloaded music to 60g zen xtra

Hi there

I would suggest that you have a look at the file format, i.e .mp3 .wma and then make sure that you mp3 player supports that file format because if the mp3 player only supports mp3's then it will not play .wma. Please remember to give me a good rating.

Make sure the song is in a format supported by the player, and that the license is not temporary or lacking in "transfer rights"

Music wont play

check to make sure that the file you are trying to play is not corrupted. If replacing the file does not work, then check to make sure it is a supported file format, and that you have the latetest firmware installed for the player. If none of these work, the try reformatting the player from the options tab of the creative software.
