Hi Nancy,
Yes you can replace the power cord if it is already defective(open internal wire). You may buy on your local electronics store. But if the power cord is in good condition, there's no reason to replace.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!

Marantz problems

The speakers are 8ohms. Always try using speakers 6 or 4ohms. For B&W 683 on PM 6004 is too low. You should go for PM 7000 or 8000 series to catchup with 683. Also when you increase the volume please decrease the bass as well.
You need 8ohm 55w to 90w or 4ohm 80w to 110w speakers.

I am thinking of replacing my now very old JVC AX 330 amplifier with a Marantz PM7003 amplifier and want to know if this is a suitable replacement in terms of power output etc.

You, sir, are a rare adherent to stereo-only electronics. Are you replacing it for cause (showing its age)? The PM7003 is only 2 x 70 watts like the JVC but it also has separable preamp/amps so you COULD upgrade or augment the power output with external amps and still control it all locally.

Of course, any current AVR's do that too and bring digital sources and multichannel audio to the mix for as little as the PM7703 may cost.

just purchase a lance cleaning cd. It will be available in cd shops. insert it in the player. it will clean the lance. after cleaning insert the hybrid SACDs and watch is it reading. If not then the laser pickup unit of you player have some problem. You have to relapse the same.

I have a Marantz PM-66SE Ki amp which appears to have a problem with one of the channels which is only outputing about 10% of the volume of the other channel. Have tried swapping speakers and cables around...

I have exactly this same problem with my Marantz PM60100SE - one of the channels seems to have lost power and is much much quieter than the other one.

Did you find a solution to this? Anyone have any ideas?

Marantz pm 7200 lost sound, only works when volume is up high, still looks like there are no high or medium frequencies.

You have either lost the pre-amp stage or the Main Amp stage. Since you have a problem on both channels it most be a part that is common to both channels. Something like an IC I would suspect.

Marantz PM-48 connecting to TV

look on the back of the TV and there should be L/R audio outputs (white & red), connect this to a spare input of your amp via a connecting lead eg. AUX or any other input except PHONO.

hope this helps.
