Hello here is the homepage:

Yes, that will be okay.

But a SSD harddrive is much faster, than the old mecanical one.
I know they are a little more expensive, but you will see a speed improvement, you have newer seen before.

Problem to install poweredge r710 can nor detect sata hard disk

That is an impressive piece of kit. Is it under warranty ?
You should probably have it professionally serviced but you can always check whether it detects a known good drive. You can also test the suspect drive in another system.
Before you do anything ask yourself: What changed last (or recently)? There find you will that which disturbs the force.

Make sure that the connectors are all fully inserted. This means both the power and the data cables. Try different cables and a different power plug.

Installing Dell PowerEdge R710 DVR Server

  1. VIA a serial cable (looks like monitor cable is not). You have use something like telnet. Old school and very technical.
  2. Just connect a monitor, keyboard, and mouse and treat like a regular PC. Can't go wrong.

Dell PowerEdge R710 Installation error I have the same problem while installing Windows Server 2003 installation process reach to the step asking press F8, when pressing F8 it says no Hard Drive were...

ok you will need to get the windows 2003 drivers for your raid controller and put them on a floppy disk. when you first boot off the cd you will see a prompt to press f6 if you need to install any additional drivers. insert the floppy disk and select which driver you wish to load.
you should be able to see the hard drives now to partition/format.

My HDD Dell 300GB 15K 3.5" SAS, i used with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise. The problem after installing the hdd total capacity its 279 How can manage this? Thank you

Hard drive manufacturers market drives in terms of decimal (base 10) capacity. In decimal notation, one megabyte (MB) is equal to 1,000,000 bytes, one gigabyte (GB) is equal to 1,000,000,000 bytes, and one terabyte (TB) is equal to 1,000,000,000,000 bytes.

Programs such as FDISK, system BIOS, Windows, and MacOS use the binary (base 2) numbering system. In the binary numbering system, one megabyte is equal to 1,048,576 bytes, one gigabyte is equal to 1,073,741,824 bytes, and one terabyte is equal to 1,099,511,627,776 bytes.

Simply put, decimal and binary translates to the same amount of storage capacity. Let's say you wanted to measure the distance from point A to point B. The distance from A to B is 1 kilometer or .621 miles. It is the same distance, but it is reported differently due to the measurement.

Capacity Calculation Formula

Decimal capacity / 1,048,576 = Binary MB capacity
Decimal capacity / 1,073,741,824 = Binary GB capacity
Decimal capacity / 1,099,511,627,776 = Decimal TB capacity

Example:
A 500 GB hard drive is approximately 500,000,000,000 bytes (500 x 1,000,000,000).

500,000,000,000 / 1,048,576 = 476,837 megabytes (MB) = 465 gigabytes (GB)

3010cn printer driver for Windows Server 2008

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?os=LHS64&catid=-1&dateid=-1&impid=-1&osl=EN&typeid=-1&formatid=-1&servicetag=&SystemID=PRN_LSR_3010CN&hidos=WLH&hidlang=en&TabIndex=&scanSupported=False&scanConsent=False

This links to the dell drivers for that printer. They only list 64bit server 2008. If you have a 32 bit version of server 2008, you can try the 32bit vista version of the driver.
