My smeg dishwasher seems to be permanently in wash mode. The light on the menu of settings no longer flashes, but permanently is on, and when I run a load it never stops. I hear the two beeps as if the dishwasher is starting a load so it seems to be cycling through over and over. How can I fix this and get the blinking light back? Thanks

Check the options on the door of dishwasher. Some dishwashers allow you to select wash top rack or bottom or both. Check your settings.

Disconnect from mains power completely for 1 hour.

"3 in 1" function
This appliance is equipped with the "3 in 1" function, that
allows the use of the "3 in 1" combi detergent tablets.
This function can be selected with all washing programmes.
With the selection of this function the inflow of rinse aid and
salt from each respective supply container is automatically
deactivated and also the indicator lights for salt and rinse aid
are deactivated.
Select the "3 in 1" function before the set of a washing
programme.
Once this option is selected (indicator light illuminated) it will
remain active also for the following washing programmes.
With the use of the "3 in 1" function, the cycle durations may
change. In this case, in the digital display, the indication of the
running time of the programme is automatically updated.
NOTE: Once the programme is running, the "3 in 1" function
can NO longer be changed. If you want to exclude the "3 in 1"
function you have to cancel the programme setting (see
chapter "Starting a washing programme" - "Cancel a washing
programme in progress") and then deactivate the "3 in 1"
function.
In this case you have to set a washing programme (and
options) again.

Activation/deactivation of the "3 in 1" function
(The dishwasher must be switched off)

1. Press the On/Off button. The On/Off indicator light
illuminates (setting mode).If a programme button indicator light is on, this means that a washing programme is set. The programme must be cancelled: press simultaneously function buttons 2 and 3
for about 2 seconds. All the indicator lights will turn off (except for the On/Off indicator light and eventually salt and rinse aid indicator lights) indicating that the set programme has been cancelled and the machine is now in setting mode.

2. Press simultaneously function buttons 2 and 3, until the
indicator lights of function buttons 1, 2, 3 and 4 start
flashing.

3. Press function button 4, the indicator lights of function
buttons 1, 2 and 3 turn off while the indicator light of function
button 4 goes on flashing.

4. Press function button 4 again, the "3 in 1" indicator light
illuminates, indicating that the "3 in 1" function is active.
To deactivate the function press function button 4 again, the
indicator light turns off.

5. To memorise the operation, switch off the dishwasher by
pressing the On/Off button or wait about 60 seconds after
which the dishwasher will automatically return to setting
mode.

After researching the issue you are having with your Electrolux dishwasher it is possible that resetting your appliance may help. I would disconnect power from your dishwasher by unplugging it or flipping the household breaker for roughly ten minutes. If this does not resolve your issue I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional to properly diagnose and repair your dishwasher. -T

Flashing clean light is reset by pressing two buttons in sequence 3-4 times, to reset your kenmore press these buttons in sequence:

High temp wash-heated dry-high temp wash-heated dry

What is the model of the dishwasher? Open the door and look down the right hand side for a sticker and repost please. As a rule number 3 is a normal wash :D

Easy one first try this to see if it helps

Water pre-heatingYour dishwasher may pre-heat the water. If so, and if the water entering the dishwasher is cool, the heater may take up to half an hour to heat the water.

To avoid the wait, increase the incoming water temperature before turning on the dishwasher. Do that by running the kitchen sink faucet until the water runs hot. Or increase the temperature of the hot water to the entire house at the hot water heater.

Warning! To lessen the risk of scalding, don't set the hot water heater temperature higher than 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
