Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.

SOURCE: Picture goes black on Mag Innovision LT765b

I used to repair LCD monitor from Dell. It works for me. You might be using these following steps to examine what wrong with your monitor. After you turned PC on and monitor stopped working or went black, you have to check that if you can see the image on the screen or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or any image (Start menu), there will be a minor problem. This is because of CCFL lamps inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. If you have soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It may cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or burn spot on the board because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better go get a technician to do so. Hope this help!! If anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know.
Thank you.

SOURCE: factory mode on Mag Innovision LT776s 17 in

Sounds like one of 2 things.

  1. The internal bios of the monitor has failed and the monitor is pretty much wanting to know what to do. It is of course waiting to be programmed as it would have in the factory.
  2. Someone has knocked the front panel accidently pressing a combination of buttons to put it into factory mode. This is normally POWER + MENU held together when switching on. The only problem with this theory is after a power down, it should reset to nomal mode. It can be a different combination of buttons also, like AUTO and POWER or even all three together.

The first things that comes to mind is a cable problem. Check to see if there is a bent pin on the graphics cable. Is this a new problem? Did it work before?

Sounds like an Inverter problem. I hacked mine into the case after this happened. Running it off of the Power supply now that I figured out the pin outs for the video power.

When I turn on my computer and monitor, the monitor display is on for about 30 seconds, then goes black. The computer is on, the green light is on, but nothing on the screen.

get a bright light or torch and shine it on the screem if you see any faint image then the problem lies with your backlight, sometimes connectors come loose and thats your best hope. if you have a warranty of any kind its time to use it.

Power supply to Mag 780 Model

No, it has a normal, seperate power cord. But the socket in the monitor is very small, it's a small round one. When facing the monitor from the back, it's located directly to the right of the monitor-stand, at the bottom-side of the screen. Just put the monitor on it's side to see it clearly.

It's all explained with pictures in your monitor's manual which you can download from the official website here: http://www.maginnovision.com/Support/Downloads.aspx?sn=464

Check the video cable at both ends to make sure it is connected properly.
Move the cable around near the ends and chances are it will look normal. If so then you have a broken wire inside the video cable. A common thing and easy to get another cable.
