these units have alot of pump failure problems. most likely the pump has gone bad. check the pump motor with a continuity tester if the pump motor is good disconnect the exit hose from the pump and see if it pumps any water

order the part from bissel see if that fixes sound like you know what wrong just need get part number from bissell.
Could be some kinda pump also thats bad not pushing out the water.
I got bissle heated one black it only problem the seals rot out the soap dispencer. if you want be cheeper on washing things you can water down dish soap ore laudry deterget on there unit and cost allot less 17 bucks for bottle soap water

mine was plugged up in the heater which is inside the handle. i took in off and blew through it, ( watch out for water coming out, it hit me in the eye, haha for my wife) now it works fine

Makw sure the recovery tank lid is secured down all of the way around, sometimes it doesn't catch and will **** up. Also check the filter on th inside of the recovery tank lid, it needs to be at least a 1/4 in. gap from the top. If it is pushed up all of the way, then it won't allow suction.

i am bisell dealer and i would reccomend mixing soap in the clean water tank and place just water in soap tank to get more accurate dispencing because there is no other adjustments on the unit

I have the same problem and each time I have to get the thing sent to Sydney to get the hose cleared out. Costing me $60 to $80 a pop.
