For 2 week my laptop didn't turn on. a green light lit up on front panel when it was plugged in but when i switched it on the light went off for a few seconds and then back on, but the laptop didn't turn on. yesterday it turned on just fine, it's the first time i've tried in about a week..any ideas what could be wrong?? i've tried the whole take out battery, hold power switch down for 30 secs etc... i was told it could be a dead motherboard..surely if it was dead it wouldn't work after 2 weeks? the comp is only just over a year old..

You should start with Rotary switch on "Maintenance Bypass" position and Qf1 open.
Turn Rotary Sw to "Test" position and wait for self test to execute and UPS to turn on.
Once you get the Yellow lamp lit, it is asking for QF1 to close
Once closng QF1, if green LED is lit, turn UPS off by pressing gray button until it ask for confirmation, select Yes and press Return.
Turn Rotary Sw to Normal position, press On button and the green LED will illuminate.
If, after closing QF1, the green LED didn`t lit, turn Rotary Sw to Normal, press On button and wait for green LED to lit.
Thats`it...
if anything is not working well.. please let me know.
Did you open the case on your computer? It may have an open case alarm which is a small switch typically located near the edge of the cover you removed. Make sure the case cover is completely installed, then see if the alarm goes off.
silly question sorry
but have you charged the battery or plugged the power cord into plug and switched on to try to charge the battery for a couple of hrs without using the laptop
hi misssim31, if the printer is not turning on..there might be a possibility that the power module is already faulty. if the power module light is lit up (the green light on it) try to plug the cord into different wall outlet and if it didn't worked..change the power cord and the module..and still if it didn't worked then the port on the back of the printer where you plugged the power cord is no longer working.
if you have any further question..dont hesitate to reply..
thanks
