How to unlock auto adjustment - Samsung SyncMaster 174V 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

MY LIGHTS DONT WORK EITHER CANT UNLOCK MY IPOD WONT DOWNLOAD MUSCI

just press the menu button and select screen adjustment and then off auto adjust and select manual adjustment.

OSD Lock & Unlock
When pressing the AUTO button after locking the OSD
When pressing the MENU button after locking the OSD
This is the function that locks the OSD in order to keep the current states of settings or prevent others
from adjusting the current settings.
Lock : Hold down the MENU button for more than five (5) seconds to activate the OSD adjustment
lock function.
Unlock : Hold down the MENU button for more than five (5) seconds to deactivate the OSD adjustment
lock function.

Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

hold down the menu button for 5 seconds and the menu will be unlocked
and also if u have installed the software for the samsung monitor through a cd or floppy disk than ... control panel> display>settings>>open the "advance " check the ptions, but be carefull not to adjust other settings...and hit ok

If you use any kind of LCD monitors for example Samsung or LG or BenQ, you'll see each and every monitor has their auto adjustment of the monitor's resolution. Many people really find it difficult to adjust when it gets locked.

First find you auto button of your monitor

(It should be beside the power button)

Press and hold the button until the box disappears..

Now just press the auto button. It should have unlocked by now.

Depends of what seems to be a problem.
If you want to get rid of that message box, appearing by itself, then probably you need to take front panel PCB with buttons and replace "Auto" one, 'cause it's stuck.
If you want to unlock an Auto Adjustment and other functions in your monitor, then press and hold 'Enter' button for 5 seconds.

Press and hold the Menu button until the menu disappears - and you're OSD will magically unlock.
