Hi Not installed if you don t installed driver webcam and occpied by another application like you open msn and skype in the same time and the two application occupe the webcam ,here you cannot. try to reinstall driver webcam

When ever i open my webcam its showing camera is not installed or camera is occupied by another user
If it says, camera is occupied by another user, open Task Manager, look for Your Webcam Software, maybe CyberLink, end process. If it says, webcam not installed, open Device Manager, Imaging Devices, Is it listed? Enabled? Working properly? Driver needs updating? Hi

please try this

do to device manager
scroll down to imaging devices
if you can find the webcam
un install it
then restart the laptop
hopefully windows will on startup install it correctly for you

i believe that there is in your programs or should be when the camera is installed
some software called something like Camera Assistant Utility
if you can find it please click on it

you could try unplugging the camera then plug it into another socket or restart the machine.

When i try to turn on my acer crystal eye webcam,it state there that camera is not installed or is occupied by other user.it works fine before.what should i do to fix it immediately?
Please unconnect the camera and then plug it back into the computer.
If that does not solve the problem, reboot the computer.
If that does not work, uninstall and re-install the camera drivers by inserting and launching the CD which came with your camera.

Are you missing the drivers? The drivers might not be installed, or may be uninstalled. Also, someone could have hacked into the webcam and watched you via the webcam, as it is still being used.

I deleted the software that runs my gateway NV59 series built in webcam because of an error message that said "camera is not installed/is occupied by another user.. and i went to gateway.com support...
download the advance uninstaller from filehippo.com and use the force uninstall option and u will be able to remove the software without any issues... keep me updated
