There could be anything from a wire off to a hair line crack on the mother board. If nothing much works apart from the fan, it is possible the mother board is now damaged.

Tablet fell and screen is blank. Still have sounds as if buttons were pressed when touched. What do I do? Please help.

All tablets are dependent on the screen for it to operate. If it fell, there will likely be cracks in it. Some are visible to the ***** eye and other cracks are not. If it is out of guarantee, take it to the nearest cellular shop for a quote as to how much it will cos to have the screen replaced. Some cell shops do it while you wait. Others would ask you to collect next day.
SIDE NOTE: If the tablet is a good brand name like Samsung for example, then replace the screen. If it is not a brand name, it might be worth your while to add an extra few bucks and buy a new tablet altogether as replacing the screen will not be cheap.
You may want to consider both options above.

Google "screen replacement" . You will have many sites to choose from. Find one who has the part at a reasonable price. You may want to compare several sites for the best price.

Just had this problem myself. Go into your BIOS. make sure AHCI is disabled and Virtualization Technology is enabled. Then restart. This fixed it for me. Hope it does it for you.

My fujitsu t4220 will not power up

try a universal charger/power cord to see if that is the problem.
if not you can always return it.

only other option is the battery.
this has been the case with a laptop I used to have. turned out vista was the real problem though. (LOL... Crying...I HATE vista)
