A good cleaner is important and then a polish to whiten the mesh is needed.

How to clean white shoes properly?

Cleaning white shoes can help maintain their appearance and keep them looking fresh. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to clean white shoes properly:

Materials you'll need:

1. Mild soap or detergent

2. Soft brush or toothbrush

3. White vinegar or baking soda (optional)

4. Water

5. Clean cloth or sponge

6. Old newspapers or paper towels

Steps:

1. Remove Loose Dirt:

Knock your shoes together or use a brush to remove loose dirt and debris. You can also use a soft cloth to wipe away any surface dirt.

2. Remove Laces:

Take off the shoelaces. You can either clean them separately or replace them if they are too dirty or worn.

3. Pre-treat Stains:

If there are stubborn stains, pre-treat them with a mixture of water and a small amount of mild soap or detergent. You can also use a paste made from baking soda and water for tougher stains.

4. Soak Laces:

If you removed the laces, soak them in a mixture of warm water and mild soap. You can also add a bit of baking soda or white vinegar to help with stains. After soaking, scrub them with a brush or toothbrush, rinse, and let them air dry.

5. Wash Shoes:

Mix warm water with a small amount of mild soap or detergent. Use a soft brush or toothbrush to scrub the shoes gently. Pay extra attention to stained or dirty areas. Be careful not to use a brush with stiff bristles, as it may damage the shoe material.

6. Rinse Thoroughly:

Wipe off any soap or detergent with a clean, damp cloth or sponge. Make sure to remove all residue.

7. Dry Properly:

Stuff your shoes with crumpled newspaper or paper towels to help them retain their shape and absorb moisture. Let them air dry in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can cause the shoes to yellow.

8. Clean Soles:

Clean the soles of your shoes separately. You can use an old toothbrush or a small brush to scrub away dirt and grime. A mixture of water and mild soap or a specialized sole cleaner can be effective.

9. Protect and Maintain:

Consider applying a stain and water repellent spray to protect your white shoes from future stains. Regularly clean your shoes to prevent dirt buildup.

10. Polish (for Leather Shoes):

If your white shoes are made of leather, you can use a white shoe polish to restore their shine. Make sure to follow the instructions on the polish container.

Remember, prevention is key. Try to avoid wearing your white shoes in muddy or extremely dirty conditions, and clean them regularly to keep them looking their best.

Any shoe repair shop has what you need to clean them. Since I dont' know whee you live, I cant tell you where the best place to go is. You can find the places in the yellow pages under shoe repair. they have products like 911 that are suitable for leather uppers and other cleaners for other materials.

How do I clean my Timberland Stormbuck (Nubuck) shoes?

  • Purchase cleaning products and brushes directly from Timberland. Their products are designed for suede, leather and nubuck.
  • Go to a shoe store like Footlocker and ask for the products they carry to clean your Timberland boots. Some sell kits and others carry suede erasers to clean the boots.
  • Wet a rag and wipe it all over the surface of the shoe. Spray on shoe cleaner and rub gently with a sponge. Rinse and let dry. Timberlands dry quickly.
  • Use a soft brush to scrub away excess dirt. Hold the boot over steam as you scrub.
  • Try baby wipes to clean your leather Timberland boots. They'll moisturize the leather and clean off grime.
  • Put your boots on, and use a wet rag as though you were giving yourself a shoe shine. Finish the spots you couldn't reach with a brush.
  • Use mink oil or saddle soap on leather boots. Both will keep the boots waterproof. Work either into the leather with a soft rag.

How do I clean my stormbuck boots from Timberland? The store did not know

Considering everything that we might step in during the day, it's a wonder that we bring our shoes into our homes at all. Cleaning our shoes not only gets all that grime back out the door, but it makes the shoes look better and last longe
Instructions Things You'll Need:

  • Shoe brushes
  • White vinegar
  • Soft cloths
  • Nylon bristle brush
  • Pencil erasers or fine sandpaper
  • Leather cleaner or saddle soap
  • Leather conditioner
  • Waterproofer
  • Shoe polish
  • Shoe polishing cloths
  • Baking soda
  1. Clean smooth leather shoes by first removing the laces and giving them a vigorous brushing with a shoe brush.

  2. Clean salt stains from shoes by mixing equal parts white vinegar and water and dampening a small cloth. Use the cloth to scrub the stained area. For suede or nubuck, use a nylon bristle brush.

  3. Use leather cleaner or saddle soap to clean the leather with a soft cloth. Pay particular attention to the seams.

  4. Clean suede or nubuck with a pencil eraser or fine sandpaper, then rub with a bath towel to bring up the nap again.

  5. Apply leather conditioner to all leather shoes, taking care to use the correct kind for smooth leather or suede. Conditioner keeps your shoe leather soft.

  6. Waterproof your shoes.

  7. Polish your shoes to help protect them and to give them a clean-looking gloss.

  8. Deodorize your shoes by sprinkling a generous amount of baking soda into them and shaking the shoes to distribute it inside. Let stand overnight, and then shake the baking soda out
