You can try checking out amazon.com or landofnod.com for the crib mattress that you need. Make sure you know the dimensions of the bassinet you are looking for. You can find the features and the description when buying.

Also check Eddie Bauer list of products to find out if they offer spare bassinet mattresses for their cribs.

SOURCE: the mattress brackets

I was pretty disappointed when I encountered this problem and got excited when I found this site and thought my problems were over. However I was even more disappointed to have people on here say how they called customer service and they were sent instructions and pictures and it worked perfectly, yet they failed to share any of it. I personally think the idea of switching the brackets around contrary to the instructions is a bad idea. The notch on the round hole end secures into the pole to keep it secure, switching it around will make it unsecure in my opionion and I think it would damage the wood as well.

I tried to call the company, however it was Friday night when I started and can't in good faith leave it uncompleted till they open on Monday. I was tempted to just go out and find 2 wooden blocks that would cover the gap, I still think that would work, however I didn't do it. Here is what I did.

I just loosely put all 4 screws in, then tightened the rear brackets into the wood first, then just went ahead and screwed in the front ones. The brackets had to bend a bit to cover the gap, but they don't seem to be under too much stress. In the end it seems pretty secure to me. I do plan on calling the company when they open on monday, and if they give me some simple fix I will be sure to come on here and share with the rest of you.

SOURCE: How do I lower the mattress on my Bonavita crib quickly?

Most cribs have tabs on the rails of them .... take everything out .. bedding, mattress, etc. Take a look at the platform that the mattress lays in especially the corners.... You might see a hook at each corner that fits into a release tab unlock the realease tab and remove the hook. Do this for each side and reinsert the hooks at the correct level in the crib... If this is not the case you may need to look at the owners manual... But I think you should be able to get a good idea about how it lowers when you remove all the bedding out of the crib..... good luck

I.need.instructions for the afg baby furniture.009e expresso athena naomi convertible crib 009

Tips a safety crib must have:
  • No missing, loose, broken, or improperly-installed screws, brackets, or other hardware on the crib or the mattress support.
  • No much more than 2 3/8 inches between crib slats so a baby's physique cannot fit via the slats.
  • A firm, snug-fitting mattress so a infant cannot get trapped between the mattress and also the side of the crib.
  • No corner posts more than 1/16 of an inch above the finish panels (unless they are more than 16 inches high for a canopy) so a baby can't catch clothing and strangle.
  • No cutout areas on the headboard or foot board so a baby's head cannot get trapped.
  • A mattress assistance that doesn't effortlessly pull apart from the corner posts so a infant can't get trapped in between mattress and crib.
  • No cracked or peeling paint to stop lead poisoning.
  • No splinters or rough edges.

Do you have instructions for a regular crib about 8 years old oak no fancy stuff just typical crib

Thanks for writing to Fixya.

Please find below some Tips which might help you.

1. The slats should be very secure and should be no more than 2 3/8" apart.

2. You shouldn't be able to put a soda can between them.

3. They shouldn't have any posts that stick up that the baby could get caught on (when standing).

4. They need to have at least 2 positions, so you can lower it when the baby is standing. Also the mattress should fit snugly in the crib (you shouldn't be able to fit more than 2 fingers between the mattress and sides.).

Hope this helps.

Childesigns carrollton crib

I am not familiar with this crib, but I have been through many cribs and they all (so far) are adjustable to lower the mattress. You can figure it out by removing the mattress and matress board and inspecting the way the board is connected to the frame. Often there is a bar or rung that sits in a clip or groove at each corner of the crib just below the matress board. You may have to crawl underneath and look up at it. Usually you will be able to lower the platform without using tools, but be sure to take the weight off the platform by removing the mattress and board. Good luck.
