IBM Thinkpad Z60m does not power up. No Lights, no sound, nothing. Whether it is plugged into the wall or using the battery - there is no response. Thinking it might be a battery issue bought a new battery and powered-it-on, still no response of any kind. Tried two different power supplys - (known to work on other t60s and z60s). Again no response, no power, no lights - nothing.

might be a faulty motherboard, RMA the board and see if still occurs

Windows Vista has the audio driver built in. If you use Windows XP then download and run the audio driver from here .

moherboard failure I am sorry but al these descritions are descriptive of bad motherboards you can find good replaccements for them on ebay
