Pandigital won't connect to wifi. went to a locaton that had free wifi, no password required and it won't connect

The iPhone can be used to connect to the internet thru a wifi connection.
just open Settings and clic on Wifi. The available wifi networks will appear if there are some any, and you should be able to connect to one of them if given the correct password. Some stores and restaurants offer free (but slow) wifi that don't require a password. They may ask that you accept their 'Terms of use' which will show up when you use Safari the first time you try to access a website.

It sounds like it cant connect if its rescanning, try rebooting both devices and try again. If that fails try another wifi(another place with wifi) area to test if its the device or the wifi.

sometimes we have to manually set the wifi (SSID) you just ask the name of the SSID you want to connect and password are required (if the SSID requires a password). and your wifi will work again.

How do I log in?
Initial access to TWC WiFi requires the user provide log in credentials that identify the user as a current, qualified TWC Residential or Business Class customer. Credentials can either be a TWC ID and Password or Time Warner Cable email and password.

1. First, make sure you are within range of a TWC WiFi Hotspot and that the WiFi feature on your mobile device is turned on.
2. Select TWCWiFi from available wireless networks.
3. Open your browser. The TWC WiFi Connection page will appear.
4. If you're a Standard Internet customer or above, enter your credentials. You can either use your TWC ID or your Time Warner Cable email and password.
5. If you're not a Standard Internet customer or above, request a 30-minute free trial or purchase a TWC Access Pass for as little as $2.95/hour.
6. Accept the Terms of Use, click Submit and connect.

Step 1Ensure the Wi-Fi and Low Power button located on the top of the device is not in the Off position. This will completely shut off your Wi-Fi adaptor and prevent you from connecting to the network.

Step 2Press the power button on the left side of the device and allow the Pandigital Novel to detect local network connections. If you can't find a local connection, you may be out of range and should move closer to the wireless router until the device detects the network.

Step 3Tap the name of the Wi-Fi network from the provided connection list. If the network has a lock icon next to the name, this means you will need the network security password to log in.

Step 4Enter the security password if prompted, and then tap "Connect."

Step 5Tap the "Next" button to reconnect to the Wi-Fi connection.

Step 6Tap the "Web" button from the main menu if you are attempting to connect to a public hotspot. This will launch the Web browser where you can enter any log in information required to obtain an Internet connection at the hot spot.

That means wifi ,is out of range,,Try moving around while searching ,go outside,,,search,,good luck,,if they ask for wep or password,,u cant use,,,,must say open,,k,,because people put passwrds to keep people from getting free internet,,,

I rare case,the wifi module can disconnect for it socket.
It's usually cause by mishandling the unit.
If it's under warranty then you should send it in for repair.
====== The DIY method is to power off the unit.
Place a large soft towel on a table.
Place the display face down.
Apply GENTLY pressure (side to side and top to bottom) on the back of the unit.
PLEASE apply pressure gently!!!!!!!!!
With some luck,you will press the wifi card back into its socket.

First thing is to make sure that the WiFi switch on top of the novel is turned on. There are 3 postions for the switch. From left to right, the first position is full power wifi ( WiFi on using more battery power), second position in less power WiFi ( WiFi is on but singal not as strong but dose not drain battery like as much a full power) last position is WiFi off. After making sure your WiFi switch is on goto to wireless settings on the novel, in there you should be able to find your wireless network and click it to join it ( and enter password word for network if required)

you need router (allows wireless internet connection) for any electronics which facilitates WiFi, yes.
