SOURCE: my oven doors wont close all the way

When the door came open you may have bent the hinges. Open the door fully and it should stop at 90 degrees. If lower than that, then the hinges are bent and will need replaced. Also you may look at the install directions and see if your model shows removing the door. If it is removable for install, you can try removing and reinstalling the door. It is possible with removable doors for them to slide up during install and then they are out of alignment for closing. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Oven fan keeps running even after off and door open

3 to 4 hours is a long time. Get to the fans (behind the control panel) and check the screens for dust. Chances are the screens are clogged with dust and need to be cleaned so the fans can move air for cooling better. I had this problem on my GE JTP14, and after cleaning just one fan it can keep up with cooling the electronic area while the oven is running. It runs much less often.

Safety first! cut the breaker before removing anything with a nice conductive screwdriver! Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Neff U1421 main oven trips the circuit breaker.

It might be that the breaker is overloaded and it's no longer supporting the load of all the appliances together. If you do not want to change your breaker you can still use your oven by switching off other appliances that is running while you are using the oven

SOURCE: Oven locked so I can't shut door/operate oven

Thanks a million, solved the problem like a charm. For those that can't find it, it is on the left side orf the OVEN, not the stove. Once you open the door, you'll find it on the frame's upper left side corner, can't miss it. Good luck

Is it still safe to use as the light is broken, I have tried 3 bulbs.

Hello Carol;

My name is Peter. I am retired field service appliance technician.

Your oven requires a special oven utility bulb. If you have used common house hold bulbs they can not handle the heat.

Lets assume you did use a special utility bulb. On the face of your oven when you open the door is a little plunger button (Switch). This is may be a dual activation switch if you have a self cleaning feature. So, you will have either one circuit for the light or two circuits, one for self cleaning and one for the light.

The circuit for the light is a separate circuit and is strictly for the light to turn on when you open the door and turn off when you close the door. You can operate your oven safely without the light working.

You may have a short, but I will bet on a bad oven door switch.

Go into the following website and put in your model number. You will get diagrams and component part numbers.

Your model number is located on a label either on the face of the oven when you open the oven door or on the side of the door. Water Filters Lawn Garden Appliance Parts

Is there a fuse or re set button on my neff combo micro wave, ive just cleaned it and now have no power to it, i have checked the fuse

ISOLATE THE MICROWAVE DO NOT OPEN AS YOU CAN RECEIVE A SHOCK FROM THE INTERNAL CIRCUITS.
Check the mains fuse in the plug, remove fuse and put into a working appliance, if it works. Buy a new microwave, as the internal circuit has a fault, and depending on model, the cost of repair is usually very expensive. Unless you have an appliance insurance. leave repairs of this type of appliance to the proffs.
Check the door is closing properly, as a switch is activated by the colsure of the door, some cheaper microwaves use plastic and this can fracture, causing the microwave to not work. The front display should light up regardless of the switch position. The fuse inside can be 10 to 15amp slow blow, if this is the case, scrap the appliance as it requires specialised equipment to fault find and carefull handeling discharging capacitors and so on. A reasonable level of knowledge of electronics is required. hope this is of assistance.

Neff u1661n2gb/05. main oven not working and shorts out electric when try to switch on. top oven works no problem

I had a problem similar. The bottom oven stopped working and the left hand set of controls and clock died. I had three figure quotes for repair. I took the main control unit out from behind the switches, its a pain to do. I took pictures of where the wires went to save confusion later. I removed the main switch unit from the control unit by gently pushing back the inbuilt plastic clips. dont loose the small white connector piece on the end of the switch shaft. I gently pulled the switch knobs from the front then the knob extensions through the same holes. once the unit was out I turned it upside down I could see where two solder tracks on the circuit board had burnt out. I gently cleaned them up and bridged the gap with two short tinned pieces of single core wire I had stripped. I used a soldering gun as it gets really hot really fast and wouldnt damage the components underneath. the only fiddly bit when putting it back together was locating the bottom edge of the control unit in the little gulley, I had to bend the edge of the gulley down to make it easier. Once it was all back together it worked. Half an hour and I saved £300! Now I have to fix the hinges on the bottom oven door as it doesnt shut properly at the top. Any ideas anyone?

Hello we have bosch hbc 86 and every time i want to turn on the microwave it suddenly stops, even when im trying to defrost,it starts and then in 3 seconds it turns off, please do you have a solution for...

My HBC 86 showed this behavior, after a fuse for the microwave operations was blown (remove the top cover and you will see it on a board close to the door). It's an 8A, medium speed. There might be different reasons, why the fuse is blown. In my case, the switches that detect whether the oven door is closed or open caused the problem. There are two connected with the microwave, one on the left (a bipolar switch) and another on the right. The switches will cause a short-circuit (and thus a blown fuse), if the left one detects an open door and the right one a closed door - it's an additional security feature. The problem can be caused by a blocked or slowly reacting switch. You might want to clean/replace the switches and/or put the right switch as far as possible away from the door so that it detects a close later (and open earlier). A good thing for testing: the problem occurs without actually starting the microwave.

We installed kitchen aid microwave convection oven model kems308. it is displaying error code F6E0, "Lost communication". Any idea on how to fix?

Turn the power to the oven off. It usually is not possible to unplug the power chord for the built-in appliances so go to the main switch board and just turn off the oven power for about 5 minutes and then turn on the switch. The error code should disappear. Mine did!

The oven would not start

It doesn't work at all If your microwave oven doesn't seem to work at all, check these: 1)Fuses---- Usually, when your microwave oven doesn't work it all, the internal fuse (thermal fuse) is blown. This fuse protects both you and the oven. When it blows, you need to have a qualified appliance repair technician replace it. 2)Door switch--- If the fuse isn't the problem, check the door hooks and the door-release button. When these are broken, the door switch doesn't activate, so the oven can't work. please do not forget to rate the solution.thanks.
