I believe that is a No Drain situation. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not too far in the drain standpipe...It should only be inserted about 6-7 inches. If it is submerged in the standpipe water it may cause a siphoning effect and pull drained water back in tricking the pressure switch. After a few minutes of this it will error out. You may also have a blocked pump not allowing water to drain at all. I believe this unit is only serviceable from the back panel depending on which model. Lots of water mess will occur when trying to clear the pump so have many towels ready and the unit unplugged. Try taking the hoses from the pump and taking the pump out so you can see in it and clear it of hairpins, coins, pencils, socks, or many other items normally found in the pump. If the impeller does not have a slight resistance then a quick ":flick:" movement then it may be ready for replacement. This movement can be checked by sticking your finger in the pump while it is removed from the unit and try turning it 90-180 degrees before it flicks to the next pole on the internal magnet. If it feels gritty or very sluggish...or if it just spins with no resistance it is bad.
A tip before removing the pump hoses is to get a bucket or catch can and lowering the drain hose from the wall to close to ground level and see if water will flow out...that will allow you to drain the bulk of the tub water if it is not clogged completely. Just lift the hose to stop the flow until you can drain the catch bucket and repeat.
Good Luck!
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
ND error in your Maytag Front Load washer
indicates no drain issue. To start with check the drain hose for any clogs and
try cleaning it, then check restriction in drain pump assembly or loose wire at
the pump. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
