The jeep only goes in reverse. I tried reversing the connection to see if it would only go forward but that didn't change anything.

Sounds like the motor cables are in reverse at the controller. Check that the red is in the positive and the black wire is in the negative on the controller.

I have a 6 volt battery power wheels car it has no reverse button the only button it has is just to make it go as I charge the battery it only goes in reverse don't know what to do that used to work fine it's at for a little while we charge the battery up and now it goes reverse instead of forward what should I do

The shifter has two switches that it operates. Reversing the connecting plug on one of the switches will most likely solve your problem. It worked for me. The casing of the shifter should have a label "white" by one of the switches, leave that one alone, rather flip the plug going to the next one.

Believe it or not but it is the reverse switch not the forwards one that is your problem.

I've never seen one of these so excuse my ignorance. Is it possible that the cable to change from forward to reverse is out of adjustment? Can you go to where the cable attaches to the shifting mechanism, detach it and manually try to change from reverse to forward? Hope this helps. Good luck!

Sounds like the reverse mechanism has jammed...either with lint or lack of use and oil/lint has frozen the mechanism.
Unplug the machine and remove the base. Clean all the lint with small brush and vacuum.
Try the reverse lever to see where the connecting rods are and identify the collar around the bottom shaft....try to move manually, use a little lubricant where the collar moves on the shaft.
In extreme cases it may take several applications over several days to rectify this, but as this is only 3 years old, should respond quickly
