We have had a Hampton Bay Renaissance II model # 129857 installed for about 5 years. Suddenly, the light fixture popped, and a new light kit is needed-is it worth searching for a new light kit, or should we pursue the "lifetime Warranty" that Hampton Bay offers?

We had a similar problem happen with our Hampton Bay Renaissance fan. It turns out that the warranty does not cover this by the way. The lifetime warranty you refer to is only on the fan motor. This is common with most fan manufacturers- just wanted to let you know about this because I think your interpretation of the warranty is wrong.

This fan is really hard to find and so are the parts for it. I would recommend trying to call Home Depot where you bought it or call the Hampton Bay customer support phone number. You're likely going to have to go through one of those mediums. I feel that the second thing (calling technical support for Hampton Bay) will probably connect you to Home Depot too because Hampton Bay is a house brand of Home Depot.

We were able to find the phone numbers we needed here:

SOURCE: this Hampton Bay light fan fixture eats Light Bulbs

Read the manual to find out which size bulbs (base size and wattage) you need.

If you did use the right type of bulb and it lasted only 2 weeks, take them back to the store where you boght them for a refund.

How do I know if the problem with my Hampton Bay Windward II fan is with the ceiling or with the remote. It worked fine for years and now all of a sudden it is hardly ever responding to the remote?

Did you try changing the battery? Unlikely to be the fan, but it could be the receiver.

Cannot find cameron ii plus single light fixture model 483 112

I agree with Home Depot, I haven't tried calling King of Fans before. I'll have to give that a whirl!
I also found this link below that has a replacement kit, they don't have the light kit though. Maybe you could ask them to add it:

Can't find light kit to fit 52" Hampton Bay ceiling fan

I've found that Hampton Bay has it's own light kits, available only from them. The others (generic) aren't the same size. Hampton Bay fans are made exclusively for Home Depot. They are made by a few different manufacturers but only Home Depot sells them. I would have Home Depot customer service get a brochure for you so you can order what you need, if they don't stock it.

Cameron II Plus

The wiring, concealed under the ceiling trim needs to be corrected; there will be at least three leads, one for the fan motor, another for the lights and a 3rd wire that is the neutral for both.
There should be an additional (4th) lead that is connected to the body of the fixture that will be green or green and yellow; this one is for safety and carries no current unless a fault in the lamp wiring or the motor occurs.
I believe that Hampton is a Home Depot brand name but don't depend on them for help.
