This may not actually be a problem, but normal noises associated with boiling water in an enclosed space. An awful lot of energy is released when water is boiled. My coffee maker does the same thing, but still makes fine coffee! The physical structure of your particular coffee maker may just be such that it's fairly audible; some coffee makers are just noisier than others. I know this doesn't change the behavior of the machine, but you may be able to live with the noise a little more knowing these things. Take care!

Getting popping noise from water heater after shower

Popping sound is caused by sediment built up in bottom of tank: air bubbles get trapped when heating starts, and then they crackle, rumble etc when free.
Clean out sediment:

The steps vary by type of water heater, gas or electric

Elite 50 boiler

There should be a pressure drain to purge out all the air. Sound like there is an air bubble in the system somewhere.

My tire is making thumping noise

THUMPING TIRE: Check the tires for a Bubble, even new tires can have a Bubble. If you don't see a Bubble just slide your hand around on the sidewalls and tread feeling for a bubble...OR Take it back where you bought the new tires.

sediment build up is usually causes thumping and noises from tank. it needs flushed out. models, where the heat source is beneath the tank. The burner heats the water under the sediment, leading to a build of steam. The steam finally escapes as bubbles, which can cause the sounds.

Why is this kettle so noisy

Kettles generally do this, Here's why: As it's heating up, the water next to the element turns to gas and starts to rise to the top. Since the gas bubbles are small at first, they turn back to water before reaching the surface and water rushes in to fill the space - this is what creates the noise. When the element gets quite hot, however, it can convert the water to gas more quickly which creates bigger bubbles that float to the top and burst into the air.
So, the longer it takes to heat up, the longer it makes noise. Some kettles have a more powerful element that simply gets to the second stage more quickly. The 'cordless' ones like yours have a smaller connection from the power to the element and it takes a bit longer. Worthwile, considering the convenience, in my opinion.

2005 ford escape problem. Check engines light on. With a hissing and thumping noise around the intake manafold and pcv valve.

Check the hose the connects to the PCV valve. It sounds like it may have a crack in the hose. The heat generated from the engine will cause these hoses to break down and become brittle. Also, check the other hoses around that intake area, there could be a hose off. You can try using a soapy water mixture and spray it on the hoses and it should bubble. The crack very well may not be seen by just looking at it. If it's cracked near the end, you may have enough of room to cut the bad off and use the hose until you can get another. Good Luck.

Subaru 03 Forester - problem in front differential, 3 wheels turn

Thumping noises and vibrations can be something as simple as a tread separation(or a big bubble) on one of your tires. As for the one wheel turning---that's perfectly normal. If you grab the wheel that's turning (not really recommended) and stop it completely, the other wheel will spin.

My 2001 saturn is making a thumping noise from the right front tire. It is not the tire. Thump.Thump.Thump, as the cars moves forward. there is no shaking, just thumping.

  1. Inspect your tire. Look for any bubbles or knots on the side of the tire. Look for any damage to the tread. A bubble or knot can mean that you hit a curb, pothole or another object on the road. Bubbles and knots can sometimes be repaired, but more often lead to the need for replacement of the tire.
  2. Think about what you were doing when you first noticed the tire noise. If you just hit a pothole or a curb, chances are you have a bubble on your tire and that it needs to be fixed or replaced. If you had recently spun out of control or had to make a forced turn quickly, you might have an alignment problem and the noise might not be a tire issue at all.
  3. Listen to the noise while you're driving. If it's a repeated thud on regular intervals, you likely have a severe knot problem on your tire. Take the car to a tire repair place as soon as possible. Tire knots may not appear serious at first but can be potentially dangerous.
If you have no others noise especially into turns (it would be a suspension problem, i.e., cv joints) then it is a tire issue.

Thumping noise in the front end

Inspect your tires look at the tread, observe the wear across the tread, inspect the inner and outer side walls, look for bubbles, look at the rim look for damage. The more info you get the better.
