I have a Panasonic pt61lcz7 tv. I need a lfs 4000 bulb assembly. Panasonic says they are on backorder. Is this a part that is being phased out. Should I buy a different tv?

My pt61lcz7 has picture but no sound

Sound in these sets is first developed from the TV tuner.

Look to see if you have sound with a DVD etc played via rear inputs.

Look to see if speakers in menu are ON or OFF.

If using a cable/sat box/ or receiver connected to rear inputs unplug each and wait--plug back and let each reboot--issue can be caused by this kind of equipment.

l of course hope one of these helps but if not set MAY have a audio circuit problem.

I have a panasonic projection TV, PT-60C13 that will not turn on. Upon pressing the power on button, the button flashes green many times, then flashes red five time then one orange flash. This red/orange...

Hi,

The most common cause of Panasonic Rear Projection LCD TVs not starting is bulb failure. The PT-60LC13 users manual gives some help in translating the LEDs on the front of the TV.

If the TV worked normally for a period of time (months or years) and won't start, the most likely cause is bulb failure. There is no way to measure the bulb, sometimes the bulb is visibly damaged when it fails. Remove the Lamp Assembly and look at the bulb.

If there was an On-Screen Lamp Replace warning and TV won't start, bulb has failed.

The first step with all Panasonic Rear Projection TV "No Picture" problems is bulb replacement. If that does not remedy the problem, get a technician, there are no user serviceable parts. Guessing if the ballast, power supply, controller board or optical engine is faulty is not practical.

The Panasonic Lamp Gallery shows all Panasonic models and Lamp Numbers. There is also a link to Panasonic DIY bulb and lamp replacement.

The lamp light is blinking once every 5 seconds. The manual says that " Lamp will not light or light is abnormal"

HI,

Panasonic PT50LC13 lamp indicator blinks to tell you the lamp is faulty.

You need to replace the bulb or TY-LA1000 lamp assembly. This link displays all Panasonic TV Lamps and TV Bulbs. This page shows Panasonic lamp location and How to Replace TYLA1000 bulb. TY-LA1000 Bulb Replacement requires the use of a long Philips Screwdriver to reach screws within the lamp cage.

Unplug AC power before removing the lamp and re-install all doors, etc, correctly before starting the TV. Vacuum any visible dust or lint from air vents and lamp area. Do not used forced air to blow out dust, big problems may result.

The user's manual has a description of what the Blinking LED indicators mean.

Do you need a technician to install the lamp bulb for Panasonic PT61LCZ7? Also where can you find that bulb for sale?

Hello
It will be best to change your TVs lamp bulb with the help pf any experienced serivce technician. Normally you can get the bulb from any panasonic spare parts shop nearby you, or at authorised service center of panasonic. It will cost little more when you buy it from the authorised service center, but you can make sure that the part you gets will be genuine one. OK.

The power will not turn on and the power LED is flashing red.

PT-50LD54 is an LCD rear projection TV with a consumable bulb that wears out normally after 2-5 years of use.

Most likely you need a bulb. That is first step in any troubleshooting for that tv. Check out Panasonic Gallery to identify lamp and replacement bulb.

Changing bulb involves removing the lamp assembly and replacing the bulb in the lamp assembly. Like doing a puzzle. Requires philips screwdriver, pliers and patience. Don't have jam on your fingers when you do it.

My Panasonic PT-61LCZ70 keeps shuting off

Most likely problem is bulb failure. Replacing the bulb is first step in any LCD rear Projection troubleshooting.

PT-61LCZ70 has a special "Super Dooper" long life lamp that costs a ton to replace. US users have 5 year warranty on the lamp assembly. Canada users can whistle for help from Panasonic Canada. There is no replacement bulb available, only expensive lamp assembly.

TV has to be completely taken apart to change the lamp. Panasonic service information is 12+ pages for lamp change instruction.

Check Panasonic Lamp Gallery for an image of this lamp assembly.

The tv has power , the volume comes on ,but no picture, just black screen. The red change lamp light has been on for some time, and it is still on

I believe this is a DLP set. There is a single high power bulb that shines thru the dlp chip and onto the screen. My old Panasonic 55" (forget the model) had the bulb access on the front left side-1 phillips screw to remoce the door and another to pull the light assembly. Replacement bulbs are available plain or in the assembly-your choice. Just google your make and model plus DLP bulb and you should be good to go- I paid $85 for the bulb alone- order 2 as the life span is much shorter than what panasonic claims- there was even a class action lawsuit over this issue that covered about 10 different set.

Panasonic projection tv model # pt56lcz7 no picture, bulb out?

This unit does not have the usual lamp assembly that most do. On this unit the whole light engine has to be removed to replace the lamp assembly. Part number is LFS4000PA1 and cost is $1,351.95 @ www.partstore.com.

Made a pop sound then screen went black- won't power back on

I'm sure you've resolved this by now, but I am brand new to this site and have the same TV, and have had the same issue. Sorry it's a bit late.

The pop was definitely the bulb bursting. You can pretty easily do this bulb replacement yourself as Panasonic has provided a nice little pull out module that can be removed by popping the front plate off (which requires no tools at all) and then opening the hatch where the bulb assembly is and loosening just one screw. Once that is done you will be able to slide the entire bulb assembly out of the TV. Though they don't always shatter, I suspect that since you heard it "pop", you will find this assembly full of broken glass.

You can either buy an entire new assembly such as this one...

and just slide the new one in,

or if you're comfortable with it, you can open this lamp assembly up by removing just a few more screws (about 4) and just replacing the bulb. I did need to buy a very long #2 Phillips head screw driver to reach one of the screws.

If you search Google for TY-LA1000 you will find both the lamp kit and just the bulb. Be careful though for the really cheap bulbs, it does make a difference, so if it seems drastically cheaper than all the others, there is likely a reason.

Hope this helps you and sorry for the slow response.
