Can somebody please help me? My 360 will not play in color on a color tv. Yes i've tried it on my other tvs and still the same thing has happened. I even tried switching the cables around and still all i get is black and white. Can somebody help me solve this problem or at least explain to me the problem.
I would check to make sure your video settings aren't set to PAL-60 by mistake. It might be easier to resolve if you could let us know what leads you have and where you've plugged them in to.
Black and White signal could be caused by using an NTSC (i.e. American or similar) Xbox 360 on a PAL (i.e. Europe, Japan etc) TV. Unless the TV can support the type of signal it is very common to get what you describe. Are the TV and the Xbox 360 from the same region?
If you are using component cables - i.e. you have three cables - a red, a green and a blue end - if they are put into the TV the wrong way around you can get all sorts of funny colours - including black and white.
If you are using S-Video cables (so the end looks like a circle with a number of pins - no more than 9) then you may have the Xbox 360 set to output in a format the TV doesn't like - try setting the Xbox 360 to use the lowest format it will let you - i.e. not 720p or 1080i and normal not widescreen. If you're using a PAL Xbox 360 set to 50 hz.
If that fixes the problem then work up through the settings until you get the highest your TV supports.
If this info doesn't help then please post which country you are in (and which country the Xbox and TV were bought in, if different), the model of TV you're using and the kind of cable you are using - a description will be enough if you're not sure of the name!
I hope this helps,
Pal-60 won't dispaly a picture so ignore that ****
