I need to download a operators manual for a sony ericsson w995

Sorry to say but you won't be able to get whatsapp on that phone. It only supports Android, Blackberry, iOS and Nokia's operating systems. The W995 uses a specialized OSE operating system that isn't supported.

this is a software glitch
same thing happened to me
you must update your software with latest sony drivers for w995
go to sony ericcson update service

You can't do that yet. But for £10 you'll be able to do that at davinciteam.com

The Sony Ericsson model you mentioned uses MP4 video format. The same format used by iPhones

You can do this using iTunes (icky and big) or VLC Player

1 Download VLC
2. Go to the streaming/exporting wizard.
3. Choose transcode/Save to file.
4. Choose your input stream.
5. Put the video codec on “MPEG-4 Video” and choose your bitrate (I recommend 512)
6. Put the audio codec on “MPEG-4 Audio” and choose your bitrate (I recommend 128)
7. Put the encapsulation format on MPEG 4 / MP4
8. Choose the name and location you want to save the file.
9. Click on finish, that’s all!
