This isn't a solution, I'm afraid, but I believe I have the same problem. My Zinwell ZMT-620HD has failed more gradually. It used to work sometimes, and I thought the aerial was the problem, but even on a good aerial it cannot detect any channels.

Maybe this brand is (expensive) ****?

No solution sorry, but we have the same problem. We get a picture eventually but it is taking longer and longer each time. Once up and running everything is fine, but can take three or four minutes to sort itself out - very frustrating!!! Wish there was an answer to this...

OSD on Onkyo TX-NR3008 not working

Your OSD is created in the HDMI board. Since you already have had it replaced, the only thing I can think of is to replace your 2 plugs and your socket. This is the big cable that runs from your operation board to your main micro board. The original socket Onkyo used has bad insulation that over time can cause a varity of problems. For example some switches might stop working, the unit can freeze up, etc. These signals run through your main micro, which in turn tells your OSD chip when to activate. You can easily check to see if your socket is bad by unplugging it. If it is bad you will see residue on or in the connector, and it will have a bad smell to it. Good luck.

Hi! I have a problem with my montior and I hope you can help me! I have a LG monitor L1918s. on monitor it appears all the time "ocd locked" and after 5 secondes it changes into "ocd...

ocd unlocked and lock definition: This function allows you to lock the current control settings, so that they cannot be inadvertently changed.

This is a method to unlock it: Press and hold "Menu" button for several seconds until the monitor show message "OSD Unlocked" and then you can use the monitor's button again. There's a chance that "OSD Locked" message will disappear from your monitor but don't stop until "OSD Unlocked" is showed. If it is being shown automatically you must have fiddled with the buttons to much and set a delay.

If I have not solved your problem please reply and explain to me in more detail what your problem is.

My monitor says the OSD is locked I can't unlock it

Hi,

The OSD can be enabled or disabled by pressing and holding the Menu button on the front panel for 10 seconds. If the OSD is locked, the warning message OSD Lock displays for ten seconds.
  • If the OSD is locked, press and hold the Menu button for 10 seconds to unlock the OSD.
  • If the OSD is unlocked, press and hold the Menu button for 10 seconds to lock the OSD

Or else you can try this method also, Hold the menu/ok button for ten seconds, to unlock the OSD. If this doesn't solve the problem, then it's probably the button that got stuck. Remove the casing, locate the menu button's contact switch on the circuit board, and try to release it using something thin like a screwdriver, x-acto knife, or set of plyers.If this doesn't work, chances are the menu button is stuck on a loop, sending a continuous signal to the board (which keeps locking/unlocking the OSD).
If so, your only solution (other than take it to a repair shop) is to remove it, by prying it off with a screwdriver or set of plyers. Of course, you'll lose access to the OSD features, but I guess this is better than to have a message stuck on front of your screen all the time..

When i press the power button to turn off monitor, i get a power button lockout message. how do i unlock the power button

I did not see anything regarding to the Power locked out function, may be it's time to call HP. Please post back what you find out from HP.
I look at HP WEBSITE: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01632269&tmp_track_link=ot_recdoc/c01643091/en_us/c01632269/loc:1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3770762

Locking OSD settings
When the OSD is locked, settings cannot be changed in the OSD menu. The OSD functionality is enabled or disabled by pressing the Menu button and holding it for 10 seconds. Upon disabling the OSD, an OSD Lock-out message is displayed for 10 seconds. When the OSD is locked and an OSD menu button is pressed, the OSD Lock-out message is displayed for an additional 10 seconds. When the OSD is locked, pressing the OSD menu button for 10 seconds unlocks the OSD and displays the main menu. Identifying monitor conditions
Special messages display on the monitor screen for the following monitor conditions:
  • Input Signal Out of Range : Indicates the monitor does not support the input signal because the resolution and/or refresh rate are set higher than the monitor supports. Recommended refresh rates are as follows:
    • For the w1858 monitor: 1366 x 768 @ 60 Hz.
    • For the w2338h monitor: 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz.
  • Monitor Going to Sleep : Indicates the screen display is entering a sleep mode.
  • Check Video Cable : Indicates a video input cable is not properly connected to the computer or monitor.
  • OSD Lock-out : When the OSD is locked, the warning message OSD Lock displays for 10 seconds.
  • No Input Signal : Indicates the monitor is not receiving a video signal from the computer on the monitor video input connector. Check whether the computer or input signal source is off or in the power-save mode.
  • Auto Adjustment in Progress : Indicates the auto-adjustment function is active and in process.

My OSD does not come on

Try plugging a video rca cable into the "monitor" on the back of the mixer (second down or something like that) and then to your tv. This pumps the osd signal to the tv where you can manipulate the menu options.

Think this analogy:
remote = keyboard
receiver = computer
tv = monitor

You need a connection ultimately to the tv for the osd to work.
