If you are using the USB200M network adapter, you should go into device manager and see if it shows up. If it does, there is a little pop up connector on this device that sits more or less on a 45 degree angle and you just insert on end of the ethernet cable in this until it clicks. You should have connection. If not uninstall by right clicking on this device in device manager(if present) and install drivers FIRST then insert device into any available USB port, new device should be found and drivers will be installed, sometimes it may be necessary to insert this device first and then install software that came with the device, but as a rule ALWAYS install drivers FIRST ..

My facebook as gone off smart tv cannot restore it keeps sayiny peer failed to perform TLS handshake

Hmm... it seems that it is possible your smart TV is not equipped to use the security encryption that facebook requires. If other devices on the same network, have no problem, and it is just your TV, you might want to play around with the security settings in order to get it to play ball. There is a slim possibility that it is impossible however.

Won't restore

Have you tried updating from a PC?
http://us.playstation.com/support/systemupdates/ps3/pc_update/index.htm

If that fails you might have to enter safemode to update the firmware. I would highly recommend to contact Playstation first to see if there is anything else before entering safemode.

The link below is information on how to use safemode.

NOTE: Do at your own risk.

We have just reinstalled windows on a toshiba satellite t2050 laptop and the drivers for the network adaptors were not installed...we cannot connect to the internet...any suggestions?

there should've been a restore disc that came with the computer. If you have it you will be able to restore drivers offline. If it didn't come with one you may have a model where the back up/restore disc needs to be burned from the hdd.

System restore is a relatively simple process in itself, However the complications are before and after the installation. Before the restore you need to be sure you have the installers for any applications you added because you will need to reinstall and if necessary configure them again after the restore. You will also need to copy your data to some offline device that will not be involved in the restore and then put it back when you are done. You should periodically backup your data and you should know how to restore it to the system. But how many applications/etc will you need to install and how much data will you be backing up and restoring -- that is the cost of the restore route. Oh yes one more thing -- deleting all the demo software off of the factory install to reclaim your precious hard drive space for thos mp3's or movies you have not yet burned to CD.

To perform the other operation of installing the necesssary items to support the television device appear to be less work. But as you will be changing signficantly a running system assuring you have a reasonably current backup is prudent (and nost of us know we do not have a reasonably current backup or any other backup for that matter). It would be wise to be comfortable with the restoration process for this backup -- unlike data somehow we need to get this backup back onto the computer without the hard drive operating system to help us. Ghost is one of the programs that would allow you to do this and it is even possible to create a backup set of cds that could restore themselves.

While you are considering the two basic options above I will tru ti track down the requirements for the TV install to see how difficult that part of the second option would be.
