50HPX95. Need Firmware\r\nHad a failed video board (PD2222C). I purchased and replaced this board with same revision, but tv thinks it is a 42" versus 50". Does anyone have the firmware to update the video board to a 50HPX95? I have contacted Toshiba but no response.

I'm no TV expert, but I can share what little knowledge I have, specially what I went through with my plasma TV. It happen in mine, and I got the Y Board fix. When mine was blinking, there was no power, but it wasn't the power board, so searching for an answer in the internet, I found out that it could be one of the boards (Y board or Z board) In my case was the Y board, so I took it to a professional and he fix it for me. if you include the make & model we may be able to help locate a board. Even better if you include board ID info including revision number. Suggestions include eBay or any of the reliable net based component vendors.

This seems to be a common question - its actually caused by a faulty tuner on the i/o board - you will probably find connecting a pvr to the hdmi slots works using the tv aerial!

The check is to remove the aerial from the back of the LGTV and plug the aerial rf into a youview or tivo box and then see if you get a signal through hdmi to the tv - this proves its the tuner circuit on the tv i/o board - sometimes it can be cured by reloading the firmware even if its the same revision as the firmware may have been damaged but 90% of the time its a hardware issue and needs an electornics repair or buy and swap a i/o board from ebay!

Note however that if its freeview channels they have been changing the multiplexes so the signal strength may be reduced and your tuner board is not detecting an aerial signal connected so just greys out the aerial symbol.

Either way its going to be an expensive fix!

This tv have a Tuner signal board it is also dead too,this problems happen sometimes,the power supply board dies,but sometimes the Tuner signal board take power surges from the power supply board itself than kiill the tv Tuner signal board too.Try website like Ebay.com to buy a refurbish tv Tuner signal board for the replacement.Fixed this problems,many times before.Blinking power LED light.First replaced the power supply board,than didn't solved the problems,than the tv Tuner signal board it is also dies too.

The power supply board is dead.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Turn off set, unplug power. Remove back cover. On brown circuit board left of center, unplug connector PJ63A. Plug in power, but don't electrocute yourself! If you no longer get the continuously blinking red light, hit the power button. If it comes on, the SEINE module is bad and must be replaced.

Bypass the SEINE module if you know how. If you use off air HD you will have to get a new module.

1-Deep clean and calibrate the printhead

3-Try a removal and reinstall of the printhead and inks
