Where can i buy a splash guard for hobart A200

There are two different splash guards fort he A200.
If you have a 12 quart bowl the splash guard is a part number 438078 and if you have the 20 quart bowl the part number is 438079.
Both parts are available from
http://storefront.whaleyfoodservice.com/.

Pushing the start button, a code of 6_9d appears. What is the issue and how can I fix this?

It's telling you that the bowl guard is open. If the bowl guard is in place and closed then you could have a bad bowl guard switch.
Check www.hobartservice.com for your local Hobart office.

Hello, my Hobart AE200 seeps oil from the front panel. How do I top it up? How often does the oil need replacing and with what type of oil? Thanks

It's not oil in the A200, it's #2 weight grease. Although when it gets old enough it can break down far enough to basically become oil (either that or someone put oil in it previously). There are a number of answers written on fixya.com explaining how to disassemble the transmission and change the grease. Fill with 36 ounces #2 grease. FYI : disassembling the transmission and changing the grease is a very messy task and one can VERY easily reassemble the transmission incorrectly, so consider bringing the mixer to Hobart to have the job done.

Hobart L800 will not stay on unless you hold start buuton

If it has a bowl guard on it then it could be the bowl height switch or the side switch on the contactor. If it does not have a bowl guard then it is more than likely the contactor side switch.Check www.hobartservice.com for your local Hobart office.

Won't start

You would need the bowl guard (have a magnet #13 p 4) to engage with the reed switch (#54 p8) in order to activate the motor circuit. Is it a safety feature. I would not recommend to bypass it.

Spare parts

I just took a look at the www.hobartcorp.com web site and found a lot of parts lists. I did't find the AE200, but there were several listings for A200. You can ask Hobart if the A200 and the AE200 are the same on the inside.

Mixer has just stopped

On the newer A200s, there is a reed switch behind the solid portion of the bowl gaurd. On the cage portion there is a magnet embedded in a plastic holder. Without it, the mixer won't run.
