My top load Maytag is dripping water after the whole cycle completes. I removed the inlet valve, directly hooked up the hose to each bib on the valve, turned the water shutoff on and nothing leaked(turned valve upside down). Reinstalled it and it still leaks. Even after I turn the water shutoff valves off. Had the hoses removed overnight and there wasn't any leakage with the valves off. Should I just assume the inlet valve is flaky and needs replacement??

I would say yes, or check to see if there is a gasket there that needs replacement. You do have the rubber washer in the hook up to seal it?

Every time I turn the washer off it will keep dripping out of the fill tube at the back of the washer. It will fill the washer tub half full

Hi and welcome to FixYa I am Kelly
Here is what you can do to try and remove the debris from inside the water valve assembly.

-Turn off BOTH wall hose connections
-Remove ONE hose assembly completely and also remove the screen from the hose connection area of the water valve by using a thin knife blade on the outside of the screen
-Leaving the screen removed connect ONE hose to the water valve hand tight and place the free end in a bucket.
-Turn on the remaining wall connection water hose
-Select WARM wash and start washer fill cycle
-Tap on the water valve FILL HOSE fitting for about 20 seconds (Your trying to loosen / remove debris) Do NOT use a hammer.... (Handle ok) but be serious with your tapping.

STOP FILL CYCLE
-Reinstall the removed inlet screen and connect hose to water valve and wall connection.
Repeat procedure for the 2nd hose.

This will clear about 50% of the water fill problems. If it does not cease the dripping while off routine you will have to replace the water valve assembly (Item 17) This link: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5177917&diagram_id=1341192#d1341192

At the end of cycle washer will not stop filling and overflows. maytag neptune fav6800aww

There is a diaphram switch located in the machine at the bottom right in the rear. When you remove the front panel it will be all the way back on the right. It senses the water level. It has three levels it detects. I had a problem with mine filling too much. That should take care of your problem.

Maytag MAV6200 will not washer on cold water cycle. Could this be a problem with the push button switch? Washes on all other cycles. However, the warm water is very hot, not warm.

Your cold water inlet valve has more than likely fialed.or.... the inlet screen is completely clogged. First turn off the water to your unit both hot and cold water lines. Then select the wash cycle w
ith hot water only and listen for a hum from the inlet water valve. Then select cold and see if you hear a similar hum. If you do not hear a likewise hum then the cold water solenoid on the water valve has failed and will need to be replaced. (Sometimes this requires the entire water valve be replaced due to the design of the assy) If you hear a similar hum then remove the hoses from the water valve and check for a clogged inlet screen just inside the water hose attachment fitting. If you can not tell if it is clogged remove the screen and hold it up to the light. You should be able to see light through the screen. If it is clogged scrub and wash the screen under running water. It is prety easy to tell if you have it clean. Once you finish reinstall the screen in the water inlet valve, reconnect the hoses and turn on the water. Good luck.

Water dripping into washing machine tub

Your water inlet valve where the water supply hoses connect is probably leaking because it's not shutting off completely because of sediment in the water line. Replace it or you can try cleaning it.

Water continues to drip into the washer when it is finished with cycle and turned off

Water valve is located at the rear of the machine with the water hoses attached to it. Disconnect power. Remove hoses and unscrew the small angled bracket attached to the valve. Replace the valve and your problem will be solved. Part Number is 2200270. This the only possible cause for the symptom you describe.

Water drips (tiny drop) slowly from top of washing machine when the machine is off (not from where the water comes from when it is on...but from that same direction). What could be the problem? (Maytag...

Check the water inlet valve. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small screens inside the inlet valve. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris. Next, check the solenoids. They can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid. I will attach a photo for reference. Sure hope this helps and best wishes.

Water continues to drip and fill tub after wash cycle completes

Your water inlet valve where the water supply hooks up to the washer is not sealing good.It can get sediment in it and cause this. Having a well for water supply can cause this more than water that has time to settle.

Maytag atlantas top loader water keeps dripping from top of drum

Your water inlet valve is probably leaking by. If the water pressure is too, or if there is sediment build inside the valve, sometimes the solenoids will not close properly. Try cleaning the valve to see if this helps. If not, I would recommend replacing it. Depending on which valve you have, repairclinic.com has two listed for this model washer for $20 to $30. Let me know if this helps, or if you need further assistance.
