it would not matter the size memory card. What matters is how much you want to be able to store on it. I would recommend nothing smaller than and 8 or 16MB memory card. you can put as little as a 2mg or even smaller but you won't be able to save much at all to that.
The flex wire connecting LCD with camcorder is broken. I bought it in the repair shop and did it by miself. It's very common problem with LCD.

I dont know how much water it took but it got some and that is bad,corrosion is only part of the problem,the link is most likely damage,The suggestion is to take it to Service center just for an estimate!!!!
