I have an AR-M350N copier. It is connected to a network and provides scanning service for about a dozen computers. I get a CE-02 error code on 1 of the 12 pc's. I reinstalled SMTP services and reconfigured the pc. It worked for one day and is now giving the error message again. The SMTP settings are still correct. Any ideas?

You should use a USB connection from your pc

Check the webpage under destinations and make sure the IP address is correct for this pc. can get to webpage by opening Network Scanner tool, hitting the scanner tab, then web setup button.

Also make sure the Network scanner service is running in the system tray (by the clock) and that it says the service is started by hovering over it with pointer.

the ce-02 code is just a communication error it general in nature so you could have a couple different issues going on

CE-03 is a communication error, obviously. Your print card and your new SMTP are not talking together. Your system is probably OK at this point, but is unable to communicate well with the new network system. Work with an IT department to resolve this.

must enter into simulation mode. press"P""*"Clear""*" then press"14 " then press "start" then press"0" then "start" again. if 14 doesn't work substitute 15,16 or 17.

CE 02 is rarely a machine problem, It normally is an addressing problem between the machine and the network. That code indicates a communication problem, normally relating to scanning.
Often times it is a wrong character in an address.

Our machine is a Sharp AR-M55OU and it is giving us the error CE-02 when we try to scan. What does that mean?

I believe the CE-02 is a generic network error.I had the same issue, with us it was a DNS issue. We had old computer accounts in DNS confusing the scanner when using hostname. Have your network admin scrub DNS and see if it solves it.

You need the Sharpdesk Software CD and you will have to install it in order for the scanning function to work.

You didn't tell me enough about the problem. Are you trying to scan from a PC or to a PC? The problem is that the network address changed when you moved the printer. You can fix this by correcting the network address

Getting a CE-02 error when trying to scan.

1) Check that the Network Cable is
inserted properly.
2) Check that the connected network
supports TCP/IP protocol.
3) Check from the Web Page that the
Primary/Secondary E-mail Server
Address or the Destination FTP server/
Desktop PC address are properly set.
4) If the above address is described with
Hostname, check that the DNS server
is properly set.
5) Check that the SMTP server/FTP
server/NST causes a trouble or not.

CE-03 is a communication error, obviously. Your print card and your new SMTP are not talking together. Your system is probably OK at this point, but is unable to communicate well with the new network system. Work with an IT department to resolve this.

Error code CE-02 when in the scan mode.

the FTP server cannot be found. This is a network error. If it is connected to a network, check with your IT person to set up the FTP server.

Error CE while scanning though N/W in Sharp AR M-205

If subcode is 00 then network connection is problem, if 02, then its not talking to the network scanner tool on the computer. Might be an IP address problem, where the address in the webpage of copier is wrong for the PC.

Network Error on display

Have you setup your smtp address on the machine? From any workstation in the same network open your web browser. Key in the IP address of the mfp copier. Goes to network setup and key-in your smtp address.
