I have an Acer Aspire One laptop and have never been able to print screen a movie or video that I'm watching. Once I press print screen and paste it into paint, the image comes up, but when I try to save it I'm never able to crop or save the actually shot of the video itself. It doesn't let me. Please if you could explain how I can fix this I would really appreciate it.

If your tv has a VGA socket suitable for a computer then all you require is to set your laptop resolution to suit your tv screen and a VGA plug to plug lead and you're watching video's.

1)you have an Fn key bottom row left, hold down while also pressing right arrow, bottom right. Each press increases brightness. Each press of left arrow decreases brightness.2)go to the manual of Aspire 5100 that you there is the option "AcerClearVision" in the software "AcerArcade". See manual:"Acer Clear Vision is a video enhancement technology that detects video content and dynamically adjusts the brightness/contrast/saturation levels so that you do not need to change the color settings if the movie you are watching contains scenes that are overly dark or too bright." So you opened "AcerArcade". There you take: "movie or cinema--> settings -->display settings" en there you change in the option 'color profile' 'ClearVision' to 'Original'.
If you have a DVI port built in that will give an output resolution that will look good on a big screen. Standard VGA out will not look so great on an big screen - probably blurry and low detail on menus and text without changing settings.
If you do not have a DVI you could look at a ExpressCard with DVI out or and Dock solution that has DVI- http://tinyurl.com/ya6ftfe
Sqeeksquad has recommend to me once a Expresscard solution that will allow you to add PCI-Express video card but this was fairly expense as would have been half way to a new laptop.
hey what do you mean no video? if you are trying to watch a movie, try to update your video codec, you can download it in the internet, of if your experiencing once you open your pc and no signal, one of the solution is reformat your pc.hope it help you. :)
Either update your flash or re-install the video driver for your laptop. Go to google and lookup Acer Support. Then put the model number in and they should provide drivers.
Hi there. Explaining how to remove the screen will take a couple of hours to type but here is a you tube video on how to disassemble an Acer One Book, its about adding memory but is an excellent guide on One book disassembly, just watch the video and do yours at the same time, once you have keyboard and the I/O plate removed you will see the cord that connects the screen to the motherboard, from then on you will find its quite simple.
The Aspire 5000 actually has a 128mb video card. i am using one right now as a matter of fact. Reboot your acer. when you see the acer logo. press F2 once into the bios screen move to the next tab. High light the 64mb next to the video adaptor and high light 128mb.
