Be sure the CD''s are clean. Remember, contrary to a vinyl record, do NOT clean them in a circular motion. Always use a soft cloth, tiny amount of non-ammonia window cleaner, straight from center to edge. If the cd's are clean and it affects all cd's, (not just one or 2..) The the model 102 has to be serviced professionally- preferably by the factory. I have had quite a few over the years that I've shipped to the factories and they come back as good as new.

Lost manual for DVD Recorder/VCR ZV450MW8 Need instructions to copy DVD Disk to VDD Disk or e-mail manual

To dub a DVD, first press Setup on the remote. Then select Recording (use the Up/Down arrows and then press OK). Navigate to and select Dubbing Mode. Select the direction for the duplication. Then press Setup to leave the Setup menu. Then press DVD to ensure that the unit is ready to play the DVD. (Press VCR if you are dubbing a video tape.) Then Press Play to advance to the section that you wish to duplicate, if needed, and then press Pause. (Press Pause a bit early; the dubbing process will lose about 5 seconds.) Now, press the other Mode button (VCR if recording to tape, DVD if recording to DVD). Next press D.Dubbing on the recorder or the remote. (The button is to the right of the Channel Up/Down buttons on the recorder. It's near the bottom left on the remote.) Press Stop when the section to be duplicated has been played in its entirety.

The Magnavox ZV450MW8 was manufactured by Funai with the Magnavox name. Thus Funai Service has the manual available: http://www.funaiservice.com/manual2012_search2.php . The direct link is http://www.funaiservice.com/manuals/MAGNAVOX/ZV450MW8/ZV450MW8.pdf . The directions for dubbing a DVD to VCR or vice versa start on page 48. Note: copy protected items cannot be duplicated.

I hope this helps.

I have a Rancilio Classe 10 Espresso Machine and the water is flowing unevenly between groups. The difference between shots is 11 seconds to 27 seconds. I have backflushed each group and replaced both...

It could be the metering jets in the grouphead and or flowmeters. Try pressing both buttons at the same time to see if they give you the same volume and time.

Converting Audio Cassettes to CDs

First off I assume you have the manual for you're 5700. if not a PDF copy is here
http://ec1.images-amazon.com/media/i3d/01/A/man-migrate/MANUAL000027911.pdf

Assuming you have a standalone tape deck that has phono inputs and outputs connection and recording recording should be easily achieved.
Forget the coaxial unless of course your tape deck has digital outputs.
Assuming it hasn't just connect the two output sockets from the tape dec which may be labelled REC out left and REC out right to the Line in (L) and Line (R) of the CD recorder.
The physical setup is now complete.
The increment level they refer to in the manual offers you a choice of 3 final decibel output levels in other words how loud it will be when it is finally recorded onto the disc.

the last paragraph on page 16 is relevant to the setup described above.

Page 15 of your manual is all you need to achieve tape transfer to CD.
follow the steps below and choose ANALOG the source to be played is your tape deck so once the process has begun press the play button on your tape deck and you should get a decent recording. Leave everything else at their default settings until you get a better understanding of how to tweak your recordings.
Personally I transfer audio tapes directly to my PC and Audio edit them until they are perfect but I've been doing this for years.

Good luck

here's a snippet

To record from an external source:

2. Place a recordable audio disc (CD-R or CD-RW) label side up

DIGITAL OPTICAL:

DIGITAL COAXIAL:

ANALOG:
record a source connected to the analog LINE IN jacks.
5. Select the desired mode of track division (track number
assignment) by pressing the MANUAL/AUTO button (see the
ADVANCED RECORDING section for more information).
6. Press the RECORD button.
The unit enters record pause mode.
The PAUSE [ ] icon and REC blink on the display.
7. Press the PLAY (ENTER) [ ] button of TRAY II to start recording.
8. Play the source to be recorded.
• During digital recording, if the input signal stops for 5 seconds,
recording will stop.
• During analog recording, if the input signal stops for 20 seconds,
recording will stop.
• If the unit detects copy-prohibit signals during recording,
CAN’T COPY appears on the display and recording is stopped.
To stop recording: Press the STOP [] button
To temporarily pause recording: Press the PAUSE [ ] button.
Remember that every time recording is paused or stopped,
