It could be a thermal fuse from what I've read.

Hi,
Thermal Fuse Problem.
If there is no heat/power, check the continuity o the thermal fuse( white resistor type in the internal wiring connections ). Unscrew and open the cooker at the bottom side.
Replace it w/ similar temp. value.
DON'T SOLDER IT!

Hope that helps you out!

I have IH pressure cooker. When I start the cooker, it shows 40 minutes cook time, and then displays an error code, L and opposite L, and then just - - -. What is wrong?

Sounds like your rice cooker didn't recognized Inner Pot
sitting in on it,
Check handle and switch sensor on center of inside rice cooker
PS: l_ _l Meaning is NO POT !! (Its a symbol)

Error code E3 on Krups RK7011 rice cooker

It's the wires going to temp sensor in lid. Take the drip catcher off and remove the screw on the plastic plate by the hinge, remove the black plastic cover and you will probably find that the screw had been driven through the wires at the factory.

Lost manual; what is ratio of rice to water? thanks!

All right, this can be a bit confusing. IF you still have the cup that came with your Rice Cooker, use it to measure your rice. Then, inside the cooker there are lines showing how much water to add based on how many of the Zojirushi measuring cups you used of rice. THAT's simple.
IF you DON'T still have your Rice Maker measuring cup you will have to use a 3/4 cup U.S measuring cup. This equals the same amount as the rice cooker cup. For each 3/4 cup of rice you use, add that many cups of water. If you use 3/4 cups of rice twice, then add water to the 2 line.
In other words, a rice cooker measuring cup equals 3/4 cup of regular U.S measuring cups.
Hope I didn't confuse this too much. I hope this helps and if it does, please let Fixya know by rating my solution. Good luck and happy cooking!

Digital oster 20 cup capacity rice cooker wont turn on

Rice cookers will only cook if you have enough water in it. If all the water has cooked out, then the cooker will turn off. Remember when you put your rice in the cooker, make sure you level it off. Then add twice as much water so that it will over cover the rice.

Rice cooker

First you have to make sure that the power outlet is working fine using a Multi Tester. Next is disconnect the Power Plug from the Rice Cooker and test continuity within the cord.  make sure those two are both working good.  next step is to open the Rice Cooker Bottom.  Again using a multi tester, Test the continuity of the Thermostat, make sure multi tester setting is on the ohm setting. reading should be zero, if reading is higher than 200 ohms, the thermostat is defective.  Which is the reason why your cooker is not turning on is due to an open in the circuitry.  Check warranty with the store you purchased it from or the manufacturer of the rice cooker.
