    g85 keeps telling me to hit enter to align cartridges and then will print and ask me to do the same thing over and over. I turned it off. let's see if that corrected theproblem. i had to replace the black cartridge...that's all i did and now it's not working properly!

    G85 keeps telling me to align cartridges. I have cleaned them, shut off all power to computer and printer for at least 5 minutes, and the same align cartridge message appears. I can't print or fax while this message is displayed. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Printer cartridges wont align says alignment failed and then paper too narrow

I request you to perform the steps below to align the cartridge:
1. Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.
2. Press Setup.
3. Press 6, then press 2.

This selects Tools and then selects Align Print Cartridge. The HP all-in-one prints a print cartridge alignment sheet and aligns the print cartridges. Recycle or discard the page.

Bypass the alignment :

Press and hold the Enter button, and then press Menu

My printer keeps saying push enter to align

Yes but after align test page have you put on scanner glass and press the scan button to finish the align process. It is necessary to after aligning the page it need to scan with the scanner. Otherwise it keeps pop up.

You press Enter , but the error message does not go away ? You have to bypass the cartridge alignment -
  1. Press and hold the Setup button.
  2. Press the Options button. The printer should be ready to print.

I have the hp d1400 series...it wont print and its telling me i have an alignment problem..it all stemed from me changing my printer cardridge

Align the new print cartridge
  1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start .
  2. Click Programs or All Programs , click HP , and then click HP Solution Center .
  3. In HP Solution Center , click Settings , click Print Settings , and then click Printer Toolbox . The Printer Toolbox opens.
  4. Click Align the Print Cartridges .
  5. Click Align , and then follow the on-screen instructions. The product prints a test page, aligns the print cartridges, and calibrates the printer.
  6. Recycle or discard the test page.

Try removing the ink cartridges and cleaning the electrical both on the ink and iside the unit with some rubbing alcohol and qtip then reseat them back into the unit and see if that works

Keeps telling me to "Press Enter to Align Cartridges"

For some reason, you printer is lock on the alignment mode.
You can try removing power from the printer.
Remove both cartridges, unplug printer.
Wait 15 minutes and plug printer back into the electrical outlet.
Turn on printer.
Wait for printer to stop.
Reinstall cartridges.
