There is a repair service which addresses any problem with the power supply board, not just bad capacitors: http://www.coppelltvrepair.com/p/780/digital-lifestyles-wt322-power-supply-board-repair-service-no-power-shutdown-etc

Hi, The problem with the TV could be its power supply, could be a dry joint or faulty capacitors/components if you know someone with soldering skills you maybe able to get a repair kit for it if not then consult your local tv technician, there will be plenty in the phonebook or search the net for one local to you.

The power supply boards can be fairly costly upto about 100 GBP or more, some places do sell them second hand once the board is identified at about half the price or like I said you can get repair kits for some power supplies at a fraction of the cost if you are able to replace components yourself.

Dangerous voltages are present in your TV even when turned off so If in doubt please consult a qualified TV Technician!

This is a common symptom of a failure of the filter capacitors on the power supply board. This is easy to repair. Below is a picture of the power supply board used in this model and below that is a link to a repair kit.

I have been having just about the same problem with mine, i can watch the tv for about 20 min and then the dvd player comes on by itself then it goes to red, green, yellow, and black and white, i've tried resetting the dvd player to default but it hasn't helped mine. When i try to turn it off it automaticly comes back on so i have to unplug it.If i find a way to make mine work right i will send you a message to let you know so you can try it on yours. I've had mine just over a year and i don't have a warrenty anymore.

My sky + is stuck on standby, i,ve tried holding directional key and switching on/off the green lights flash but the box goes back into standby regards dave

Hello Dave, Hold the left and right buttons down on the front of your sky + box then unplug and plug back in the power. Hold these down until the circle LED shows then press the select button in the middle. This does a factory reset.

Once this is Done unplug from the back of the Sky+ box then hold down the backup button and plug back in until all the lights are on... on the front of your box. Updating software should be showen on the screen whilest this is doing its thing. Ohh you can take your finger off the backup button when you see this message on the screen.

I would advise you turn the channel over or turn the TV off as this can take 10 + minutes to update. I dont want to be responsable for burning the screen.

Hope this Help

TV won't turn on even though it starts green, then goes off

Although my tv still does the "turn green and turn off" thing, I simply unplugged and repluggd the tv. After I did that, I pushed the "ON" button on the tv itself, unplugging and replugging the tv until it finally came on. I think the "instant warm-up" switch is going out.

TV will not turn on, the light goes from green to red.

I own the same model. You have 1-2 Blown Capacitors. Take off the back cover, And look towards the center of the main power board. Look towards the center of this, and there are 2 capacitors side by side. You should see them swollen at the tops, even maybe a little black residue that has come out. I soldered on 2 new ones, and bingo! I would suggest replacing them both.
