You need to adjust the travel of belt. to do this you need a allen wrench that came with it. if you have it run treadmill at slow speed,go to the rear right at the right end cap there is a hole, use the allen wrench and unscrew slowly while watching the belt until returns to the middle. if it slips when walking go back to rear and adjust by screwing in one turn on each side until belt wont slip.

Tighten the right side bolt/allen bolt at the back of the treadmill (the end you would fall off if you stopped walking). It will angle the roller so that it pushes the belt back to the left. Use 1 complete clockwise revolution and then see if belt straightens. (Push belt with your foot at an angle at first to prevent damage to the belt).

How do I tighten the belt of a technogym excite 700 treadmill?

Easiest way is to remove the back guard at the back of the belt (dark grey). I think it's #3 allen keys. There are bolts on the side, and potentially underneath.

Once removed, you will see two large bolts that connect to the back roller. Turn those with a #8 allen key (I believe). If it is because the belt is loose, I'd only do 1/4 turn on each side at a time as you don't want to tighten too much or it stretches your belt, and may also cause your lower kit to blow something.

How to lubricate a precor treadmill belt?

About This Video

Video about How to Lubricate a Treadmill using Liquid Lube
  • This vidoe will demonstrate how to properly lubricate your treadmill belt and deck. This demonstration is for the application of liquid lube.
  • To begin, clean the deck and belt by loosening the rear roller bolts 10 turns as seen in the video. It is best to loosen each side five turns and then repeat the process.
  • Now that the belt is loose you can take an old towel and place it under the belt as shown in the video. Move the towel up and down the deck, then using your hands pull the belt around half way to ensure you have completely cleaned the back of the belt. Then remove the towel.
  • Open your lube packet and use half of the package to make a half circle on the deck, from the front outer portion of the deck toward the center and then back to the outer edge. Use about half the package for this arc. Now repeat the process on the opposite side. Be sure to wipe up any excess oil as it is very slick!
  • Use your hand to move the belt around some more to begin spreading the lubricant out.
  • Now tighten the rear roller bolts back to the exact amount of turns they were loosened previously.
  • Power on and start the machine and let it run slowly for a few seconds to make sure the belt is staying aligned in the center of the deck area. If it is not centered correctly, make minor adjustments to correct the issue. Tighten the left bolt to move the belt to the right and tighten the right bolt to move the belt to the left. Now walk on the belt for a minute or so to fully distribute the lubricant.
  • This concludes todays demonstration of how to lubricate a treadmill using the liquid lube.

The belt keeps moving towards the left side of the treadmill and rubs the side. How can I adjust the belt to fix the problem? It is a Weslo Cadence SR12 model. Thanks!

There are Allen bolts on both sides of the bottom on the front (away from the console) of the treadmill. Turn one one way and the other the other way to adjust the belt. If this does not work, your belt is probably worn and stretched and needs to be replaced. See Treadmill Parts to order a new one.

Walking surface will only move very slowly. The belt seems tight enough, tried to tighten 1/4 turn, still not moving properly. Treadmill is a Weslo Cadence 450, bought a few years ago. Thanks

lift the sides of the w/belt the hieght should be 2-3 inches. if more to loose, tighten it up. still have a issue take hood off and check the motor belt. if you find a bunch of black dust. your belt is worn or on its way out.PS you can find the belt on the web.

How do i get the belt to stay inline? it keeps sliding to the side causing it to 'fold' when i rotates.

On both ends of one of the rollers are adjustment or takeup screws. You may need a screwdriver or open end or allen wrench to adjust them. If the belt is moving toward the right, adjust the right side of the rollers to be farther apart (if I'm not mistaken). This should cause the belt to walk to the left. Run the machine and watch for belt movement. If the belt is tightening too much, adjust the left side to make the rollers closer together. These adjustments are best made while the belt is running, but BE CAREFUL!

CONVEYOR BELT NOT MOVING ON THE IMAGE TREADMILL

This could be because the belt on the motor that turns the belt you walk on is worn out. it has grooves on this belt that must be prominant to stay in the groves on the front roller and motor. The motor belt can be ordered for about 20$ shipped on ebay the motor belt number is 118016 this is a universal belt and fits this treadmil. Before buying the replacement belt check to see if this is for sure your problem. you can tell by opening the front of your treadmill and looking at the belt. You will see worn spots on the motor belt, or as I noticed when mine went bad, it will look like someone threw a bunch of rubber eracer shavings in your treadmill.

Belt is all the way over to the right instead of in the center. belt wont move. I hear motor running. How do I get the belt to the center. A neighbor gave me this treadmill with no manual. It worked for a...

To get the belt to the center you will see two adjustment bolts on the very back of the machine that require an allen wrench to adjust. Whichever side the belt is going towards is the side you will need to tighten. The best way to do it is to turn it a half of a turn then try and run the machine. if that does not help then loosen the other side a half turn, continuing until it pulls that belt back to the middle.

I am having problem with the belt moving when i am trying to walk/run on treadmill

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} First, ensure that it is the walking belt that is loose. There is a belt hidden under the hood that connects the front roller to the motor (motor/drive belt). Start the treadmill at 3 or so and carefully apply pressure to the walking belt until it slips/stops. Watch the front roller. If it continues to spin when the walking belt stops, it’s the walking belt. It the front roller stops with the walking belt, the motor belt is loose and needs adjusted or replaced.

To adjust the walking belt, locate 2 hex head bolts, one on either side of the deck on the very back of the machine. These bolts will be recessed inside the plastic covers. Your treadmill came with a tool for this, but if you can’t find it, a standard (not metric) allen wrench kit will work. It’s helpful to have a wrench in each bolt so that you can adjust them at the same time, but one will work.

The allen bolts thread directly through each side of the rear roller. As you tighten the bolts, it pulls the rear roller away from the front roller, tightening the walking belt. This also centers it; if you tighten one bolt, it pushes the belt towards the center of the walking deck away from the bolt you’re tightening. So if the belt is too far to the right, tighten the right bolt and it will move towards the center.

Place your wrenches in the roller bolts and turn the machine on to 3-4 miles an hour. Keep your fingers clear of the belt, it will eat them. This method is quick, because you can see the belt move as you tighten one side or the other. It takes a few seconds, but if you tighten the right bolt for instance, you will see the belt move to the left. If the belt is loose but centered, tighten each bolt ½ turn and then get on the machine and see if it slips. The user manual will tell you to pull it up a couple of inches to test the tightness, which is a relative method and doesn’t necessarily work. My wife can pull on the belt and get 2 inches, and I can probably get 3 or even 4 if I’m showing off. The best way to test it is to gradually tighten it until you can run on it without it slipping.

You should lube the belt a couple of times a year. You can get them from iconfitness.com

Good Luck!

How do you track a belt on a reebok vista treadmill?

There are 2 allen screws on the rear of the machine. Use an allen wrench and access the side in which the walk belt is tracking towards. (tracking to the right go to the right screw) Insert the allen wrench and rotate the screw one revolution CLOCKWISE. This should move the belt 1/4 inch towards the center. If needed you may rotate the screw one and possibly 2 more revolutions but more than that you may have another issue with the machine.
Good luck! Tim
