Whoever you purchased your laptop from should be able to sell you a restore set of disks.

I've heard getting restore disks can be like pulling teeth out but it's better than getting a new license.

How to upgrade window vista to window 7

Upgrade is not suggested,
I would prefer you to install a fresh copy of Win7 on another partition on your PC's harddrive using a Win7 install CD or from a medium (Harddisk, USB device etc)

Why, because your Vista is in perfect working conditon I guess so, so why spoil it.
Many of the hardwares you use in your PC currently (like printer, webcam etc) work fine now.
But when you install Win7 they will need new drivers for it to function perfeclty and I am sure you'll have diffculty locating them.

So i suggest you keep your exisiting Vista and keep using it for your day to day work.
Install Win7 on a new partition and try to get used to it while installing all required drivers and softwares for them to function.
Once your Win7 is perfect then you can slowly SUNSET Win Vista.

How to install window xp over window vista as defult

not possible, unless you wish to dual boot the WIndows versions ... 'you will need to place the windows XP CD, boot from this CD and format your Hard Disk and then install windows xp.
make sure you have the windows xp licence key as the WIndows vista licence is not valid for windows xp.
last but foremost .. I strongly suggest you download the three key drivers from your manufacturer for 1) Sound Card. 2) Video Card 3) Network Card and have them available after windows is installed. As Windows does not detect all drivers for your computer. Then install either your current preference of Antivirus software or use AVAST (www.avast.com) which is freely available.
check your vendors website to confirm that there is drivers for your make and model laptop or pc.
good luck ... hope this helps...

I would like to format my computer and reload windows vista on it again. can you tell me how to make a vista disc so i can reload it

You will need to contact your manufacturer for a reload disk that that you can reload your operating system. If your computer was recently purchased or is under warranty, many times they will not charge you for the disk, only shipping and handling. If that is not an option, then you can go to your local Best Buy or other computer store and purchase a reload disk or purchase the operating system.

No software

You will need to install Windows XP or Vista by putting a Windows XP or Vista disk into the drive and then restarting the computer and running the cd. You can buy Windows Vista at any store that primarily carries computers, such as Best Buy.

Downgrading vista to xp

Now you need to find a Windows XP install disk that can match the licence number printed on the sticker at the back of the laptop and reinstall XP using your serial key.
You will have to download and install also the XP drivers, you find them on manufacturer website.

Download from vista to xp i have acer aspire 5100 laptop

You would need to back up your documents, pictures ect.
Format (a secure wipe would be best) your hard drive. Make sure it is fornated to NTFS.
Run/Install windows XP (remember you will have to have a licence key since the laptop came with vista)

Download all the drivers for this notebook from: http://www.acerpanam.com/flex/acerdrivers/bin/drivers.html?CFID=2232097&CFTOKEN=61504601
(best to have these on a flash drive)

and then install them.

Windows Vista Upgrade?

This may be because the vista you have has not been registered or it is an upgrade from xp.

Vista doesn't have an upgrade yet, you can upgrade from xp, but not from vista. So this problem is wierd. Get in touch with Best Buy and let them solve the problem.
