How do I register my new Garmin 1450? I just purchased it yesterday from the Target store in Wausau, Wisconsin?

2. Install the Garmin Express
3. Purchase or access the Garmin Nuvi 1450 update
4. Disconnect the Garmin Nuvi 1450

If your unit is not registering on the Garmin website, then the unit is probably already registered. If its already registered, the Garmin website won't recognize it. you do not have to but it is good for warranty purposes as well as updates. connect the 1450 to your computer using the provided USB data cable and then go to www.garmin.com and click register on the home page, you will have to create a garmin account.

Registering the new garmin nuvi 1450 is quite simple. What you need to do is to connect the garmin nuvi 1450 to a computer that has internet on it. Then you go to www.garmin.com then you select the support link, https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/marketing/register.htm then a list will pop up, select product registration, it will prompt you to create a user name and password, then it will ask for some information about the garmin you are trying to register.Then it willbe registered.

First make sure the unit is fully charged,then go to the Garmin site and register your product. Then download Garmin Updater and connect your unit with a usb cable directly to your computer and not thru a USB hub. Let the update go directly to the GPS and not a folder. To register your garmin satnav;

• Connect the satnav to your computer with the mini USB lead
• Go to www.garmin.com
• Select your country from the drop-down list
• Click the "myGarmin" tab at the top of the screen
• Click "Register your garmin product" on the left of the screen
• Click "Automotive" and follow the prompts

You'll be asked to create a username and password. Keep them safe as you may need them again to update your maps.

The LMT versions are pre activated so all you need to do is go to www.garmin.com navigate to the my dashboard tab. there you will find a field to login or create a new account. From there it is a step by step process to getting it registered. you will need you USB cable or the unit serial number from the box bottom of the unit.
