If you aren't sure whether Control Lock is on, press a cycle button on the keypad. If Control Lock is on, the light will blink three times.
Turning off Control Lock:
Press and hold the Lock Button for four seconds. The lock light will disappear.
Once off, you should be able to start your wash cycle.
Note: If Sleep Mode is on, turn that off first, then turn off Control Lock.
Like many other electronics, you may need to reset the dishwasher control panel by turning it off, waiting, then turning it back on.
Press the OFF button.
Disconnect the dishwasher from its power source by unplugging it or by turning the circuit breaker off at the electric panel.
Once disconnected, wait one minute, and turn the power back on.

Now then firstly by pushing the heated dry and normal buttons then repeating is the proper procedure to reset the control board,below is a the exact buttons to push to reset the control. Also please take a count of the number of times the light flashes befroe going off breifly then repeats the same number of flashes; the number of flashes indicates a error code...if if flashes 5 times that error code 5 and if it flashes 7 times its error code 7 etc,etc.. please get back to me with the number of times it flashes. Here is what i copied and pasted from my online service manual for Whirlpool dishwashers that shows which buttons must be pushed to reset the board,after pushing the buttons shown push the cancel/off button and the board should be reset so the machine will start at least one time where ya can take note of the number of times the nirmal light flashes,

The green clean light means that your dishwasher isn't heating the water. Go to the link below to see how to reset the error code and check for reasons that the error happened.
Have you disconnected it from the socket to try a reset? If not firstly try this, if flashing continues, please hold down the on/off button continuously for about 5-10 seconds during that time it will beep or flash but keep hold until this master resets the dishwasher, then try a normal cycle, this should then resolve this, unless the PCB board has gone wrong, in which case I would contact the maker of it is still under warrentee, if no warrentee then call a local repair person, most offer a free quote if you ask for one...
