Replacement drive belts are easily available on the internet - try Amazon or E-Bay and search by turntable make and model number.

My turntable will not rotate .. I take arm across and it makes a humming kinda noise has been in storage for 3 years was last working at that time

The motor works then, that's the humming noise. If the deck has been in storage then the belt has likely perished or fell off. Remove the turntable matt and you should see a hole to get to the belt.
Search the net for your make of turntable belt. There are guides on youtube on how to fit new belts.

My marantz tt 155 turntable won't turn. is there a turntable lock? or is the only other reason a broken belt? thank you.

Could certainly be a broken belt. Lift record tray and look to see if belt has fallen off or has basically fell apart. Belts can be purchased at If no belt could be a bad motor. Same website.

Model PS-LX300USB Turntable Drive Belt

Hi Norman

Normally the belt does not go through any special tensioners or anything of that nature,The belt should go directly from the spindle motor onto the inside of the platter. Hook the belt on the motor section and lay the belt open wide inside the turntable. Next, replace the platter and manouvre the belt onto the platterinside through the two large holes

Technics 1210 mk2 motor problem

Depends on if it's a belt drive turntable or direct drive.
If a belt one, there will either be a speed adjuster on the top of the motor, or one on a PC Board. And yes apart from setting the speed, it as straightforward as taking the old one out and wiring the new one in.
The direct drive, will also have to be adjusted for speed too.

I need to know how to put a new belt in my pioneer pl 1120 turntable i bought new in box last year and cant get the belt in got a new belt fron pioneer but they did not sent infor for install it is from...

A turntable is a precision mechanical instrument as complicated as a mechanical watch. It is very unlikely you will be able to take it apart and get all the pieces back together, even with a service manual, which would cost you more than $50, if you could get it.
I'm sorry to say, unless you live in a big city and can find an old turntable pro it is not repairable. If you have a computer, they make turntables that plug into a USB port.

My KD-291RC has power but my turntable wont turn. I touch the needle and I can hear its on and when I move the arm towards the record or set it on it it will not turn. Help?

Your turntable is belt-driven, it's likely that the belt just fell off. The belt lives under the turntable. On my turntable (a totally different model) the turntable lifts off.

above shows the general installation method for virtually all turntables. If it keeps falling off, you will need a new belt.

Optimus lab 1100 truntable will not operate.

this is a belt driven platter. the belt is old and fell off.

this link shows how to replace a belt, once you see where the belt goes thread a piece of string through the mechanism where the belt should go and measure it and contact them with the length. or measure total length of the old belt if still in one piece. figure about $14 for most belts.
